TownePlace Suites Vernal

We loved staying at Townplace Marriott! Great clean room with Showtime free. Breakfast was also really good. Friendly staff. We will stay again!!

My husband and I spent 4 night at TownPlace Suites in Vernal. We found the staff to be exceedingly nice and the entire facility very comfortable. Breakfast was very good for this type of offering and the attendant ensured that there was ample supply of everything. The location is as convenient as can be. I do have to criticize the cleanliness. While superficially clean, I moved the ottoman and found a pile of toenail clippings. We shifted the TV stand away from the sun glare and uncovered a pile of debris. While housekeeping services are supposed to be every other day, we had to ask someone to come by on day 3 as the garbage was overflowing and we needed fresh towels. The person who came emptied one bin and pulled the duvet up to the top of the bed. Oh and he/she left fresh towels. That was it. On the whole I would stay here again. But I would review the nooks and crannies before unpacking.

We liked it, but didn't love it. For the price point, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It's an older property and a bit worn in places (especially around the pool, the carpeting throughout, the antique AC units, etc.). Great location in town and perfect if you plan to spend time in the outdoors and then come back and relax. But the property desperately needs a major renovation. With the way the hotel is wedged in between a road, another hotel, and a fast food joint, the parking situation can be a challenge if you are coming back late at night and the spots are all filled.

This hotel is very comfortable - likely the best hotel in town. It shares a parking lot with another Marriott property - the Springhill Suites. We loved the 2 bedroom suite, which had individual HVAC systems for each room! Ask for a room on the southeast side - farthest away from traffic - the highway noise can be considerable, as with all of the hotels in town.

Amazing place very clean. The staff was very polite. I would recommend this hotel too all travelers. The continental breakfast was amazing. Coffee 24 hours a day. We asked for extra towels thwu brought them right away to our room.

This was our second time staying here. We came back because we had a great experience the first time. Clean, quite, great location. Great service. If you looking for a great place to stay check these guys out!

We always stay at either the Towne Place or the Springhill Suites when in Vernal and really appreciate the well appointed rooms, extra towels, and friendly service that comes with the Marriott brand in Vernal. This time we were upgraded into a two bedroom room (I didn't even know there was such a thing!) which was perfect for our two night stay with a lot of downtime. I love having the kitchen, which could use a few more glasses, maybe some wine glasses, but that's not a big deal. One thing I don't like is Marriott's current policy regarding cleaning only every other day. I was unaware of this policy until we'd thrown our towels in the bathtub for replacement and filled the garbage with tissues. The staff was very friendly in explaining the policy and brought a stack of fresh towels. Still, I feel bad for the housekeeping staff that has to deal with multiple days of garbage and a large stack of towels. Seems like daily housekeeping would actually be easier for them. I think Marriott should give travelers a choice at check in which would meet the needs of both those who do or do not want housekeeping services. Of course, that is not the fault of this hotel and, as I said, they did what they could to accommodate when I called wondering why my room hadn't been cleaned.

After driving all day to get to Vernal found out they had overbooked the hotel and wouldn't honor my reservation. I knew it was a small town with limited accommodation so I booked 7 months in advance - in the end it didn't matter they told me that Marriott requires them to give away booked rooms to people with higher status levels even if they book within 48 hours of travelling. They did kindly tell me that if I paid them $299 above the amount that I had already paid to book then they could accommodate me. I guess all Marriott cares about is the people at the top end of the reward status.

Choose this property because we were traveling with six adults. Room was a two bedroom, one bath suite with queen size beds. If we were traveling with another couple or small kids, this room would have been perfect. But with six adults it was not ideal. Staff was super accommodating and very friendly. Breakfast was solid and filling. Would definitely staff again with a smaller group.
