Hotel Orchidees
Having no prior travel to Europe, I felt the hotel, the owners, and the staff went out of their way to ensure our experience was superb. The cuisine was excellent, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and easily accessible. The owners helped us get local information about the region and the Verdun battlefields that we visited. They treated us like relatives from America and thru the use of a translation app, we could talk about our experiences. I believe that when I think of France, every experience will always be compared to my stay in the Hotel Orchidees since they have set the standard for hospitality.

Très bon séjour
Hôtel situé au calme, à quelques kilomètres seulement du centre-ville de Verdun. Facile d'accès avec un grand parking.
Les chambres sont confortables et impeccables, le service excellent.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights with my wife and wasn’t disappointed. I had stayed here twice before, a few years ago and it is still of a high standard. The staff were all helpful and engaging, our room was adequate for a short stay, the only thing l would like to see changed would be the provision of a kettle in the room to make coffee or tea with but not a game changer. Breakfast was adequate and a reasonable choice of food to choose from, there are no hot dishes to be had unless you include hard boiled eggs. The restaurant is worth a special mention as it has a good selection of dishes and wines to suit everyone, the prices are also very competitive. Service was prompt throughout our meals and we opted to eat here for the three nights we stayed. There was no need to pre book a table. Don’t be put off by the location which is close by an industrial estate, the location is quiet but really convenient for either going into Verdun or visiting the many WW1 battlefields and forts. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Geht so, für eine Übernachtung. Kostenloser Parkplatz. Das Zimmer ist winzig. Frühstück ist dürftig. Gutes Beer. Restaurant ist vor Ort vorhanden, schließt um 22 Uhr. Wegen Spätanreise könnte ich nur die letzten Gäste sehen.

Easy to find hotel on the outskirts of Verdun. It is close to a main road but tucked away on behind an industrial estate. The rooms are large, well appointed and comfortable. There is very comfortable furniture in the garden to enjoy the evening sun. The pool was not operational when we stayed. The food is very old and well priced.

Petit hôtel familial agréable, bien placé pour visiter les sites de la première guerre mondiale. Personnel très agréable. La chambre est assez petite mais la literie est correcte. Par contre, assez bruyant car on entend les personnes de la chambre au-dessus marcher et la route en contre-bas. Piscine agréable mais moyennement entretenue. Petit-déjeuner correct (j'ai beaucoup apprécié la salade de fruits frais!) Le restaurant est très bien. Les plats sont bons, les produits de qualité, le service est agréable, nous y avons passé 2 bonnes soirées.
