Château Côte de Nacre

Everything we wanted it to be We had an amazing stay at Château Côte de Nacre. The property and grounds are stunning and we can't wait for our next stay. The apartment was so well appointed with everything we could possibly need. If you're looking for total relaxation in a beautiful setting with access to some of the most important historical sites then look no futher.

Fantastic stay. Sandra (the owner) was amazing, really responsive, and went the extra mile with my daughter, who loved feeding the animals. Setting and history of the building is incredible. If you are planning to visit D-Day beaches, British memorial and museum you could not pick a better location. Lovely little bakery around the corner too, which we walked to every morning. 5* without doubt, and we will definitely be heading back.

Idyllic setting and fantastic location for exploring Normandy. We stayed in the Souplex Suite which exceeded our expectations! There is a spacious and comfortable lounge area with a full sized fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker and tv; a separate large bedroom; bathroom and separate wc and lots of storage in the entrance area. It had everything we needed and was spacious and clean. Direct access to the pool is a special bonus. The Chateau grounds are beautiful and there is garden furniture around the small lake which allows you to enjoy the sunshine and the view (along with the numerous ducks, ducklings and swans). The excellent boulangerie is a very short walk away so we had breakfast in the suite before heading out. There is a lot to see and do in the area and lots of lovely restaurants specialising in fish dishes. We were so glad we had chosen Chateau Cote de Nacre over other hotels in the area. We cannot recommend it highly enough and if we are ever in Normandy in the future we will definitely go back.

Well what an amazing chateau the cote de nacre is , on arrival we met the lovely host Sandra who was very friendly and polite, anything you need don't be affraid to ask her , we stayed in apartment jardin which was great 2 double bed rooms , very spacious nice kitchen area great shower with shampoo and shower gel provided, and super clean , coffee, tea and sugar provided, but bring your own milk lol , the grounds are amazing with a grand lake behind we all loved feeding the ducks and swans , there's a little bar just 5 mins away ,a great bakery too , and a little off licence, the Normandy memorial is just a walk up the road deffo worth a visit, all in all I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends,and am sure we will be back 👌👌

Perfect in ever way. Fantastically well located for the British Memorial and reasonable distance from other sites of historic interest (D Day Landing beaches, Bayeaux, etc). You will need a car, like all rural venues in France. The apartment was genuinely beautiful, fantastically well maintained, spacious and well equipped. Some minor early issues with the cooker were quickly resolved by the owner, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Pool is smaller than we had hoped and a little bit dark and dingy, but this wasn't enough to detract from our enjoyment. Nor was the guy staying the downstairs apartment who felt he had the right to rudely complain at us for making too much noise (not in any way attributable to the property owner). Outside areas were outstanding, beautiful green spaces and views. We had a top floor apartment so BBQs were inconvenient (food and drinks up several flights of stairs) but not enough so to stop us from enjoying them. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing stay, I can not recommend this place highly enough.

What a cool place! We really enjoyed what felt like an Air BnB inside a real castle with amazing grounds and history (you'll have to ask the owner about that!). Our suite was roomy and comfortable, we enjoyed the property and feeding the various animals, and it was helpful to have a bakery and small market just up the street. The owner also shared helpful recommendations on where to eat. One note is that breakfast is not provided - nor is milk for coffee - so do plan ahead!
