Hard to beat the location. Right off the 101, the center of town and within walking distance of a dozen good restaurants. The pier is a 10-minute drive for more dining, surfing or just walking along the shore. Very clean and comfortable room and nice breakfast.

From the time we got there, our experience was great. Daisy welcomed us and took care of us the whole time we were there. The free breakfast was good. The rooms & grounds were very clean. Plenty to do around here in walking distance. Even the beach is walking distance.

Bed was very comfortable, excellent breakfast options, ample parking for cars, excellent windows facing the highway (you do not hear it at all which is awesome and a very good feature). Caring staff during my stay and fabulous location. Easy walk to the pier, restaurants and the beach.

I enjoyed my stay here. All of the employees who work there are very friendly and try to help you with any needs that you may have. I liked that all of the rooms had tubs. The floors were wood laminate so they felt much cleaner than carpeting. The drapes kept the light out so you aren't awakened at sun-up. There was a window in the bathroom of my room, which I hadn't seen before, but it was fine. There is some noise from the train that goes by, but you don't hear it at night which is the only thing that would have bothered me. The manager was very helpful to me. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

Choose this place for it central location in the downtown tourist area. The layout and room interiors are like a throwback to '70s motels. Ask for a second floor room if you can't stand noise from above. The lobby has been modernized, and the included breakfast buffet is BW standard, down to the waffle makers. Forget about any view of the ocean, or the pier for that matter, but it's a very walkable town centre.

We booked this hotel for a day trip to Santa Cruz Island. The price was very high because there was a fair in town. I cannot believe the price I paid for a super low budget hotel. When we checked in, the staff were very accommodating. The room smelled like smoke, but someone had tried to mask it with cleaning products. It needed a professional smoke removal. I called and informed the front desk, who said they would let the manager know. That was the end of it. The queen bed was likely a double, much smaller than my queen bed at home. The bathtub drain didn't work, so I couldn't take a bath. The fridge has no freezer, so I couldn't use all the ice packs I brought to keep our food cold on our day trip. The towels and linens were crunchy from too much bleach. When I left, my daughter wanted to use the hotel lobby restroom, and the staff made her feel bad about it. They asked if she was a guest and seemed angry that she was asking. She was really upset by the way she was treated. Parking is free. We left before breakfast, so I don't know how it was. This was a very low budget hotel for nice hotel prices. I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again.

I stayed here for one night during a short business trip. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nicely upgraded and exceptionally clean. The location of this motel is perfect—I was able to walk to many nearby restaurants and activities. I would definitely stay here again.

The bedding chronically comes with holes burned in it by cigarettes. The Manager and assistant evidence no interest in running a first-class operation, albeit, the County of Ventura is paying top dollar for these rooms, rooms that are made available to folks who, for a variety of reasons, mostly economic, are in transition. There are no white people on staff and communication with the motel staff can be challenging, oftentimes pointless. Trains start sounding their airhorns at 0730 hrs., on into the late night. Great if you like train sounds,
