Hotel Villa Edera

Absurd attitude of the arrogant and presumptuous staff. We stayed during the Venice Biennale and obviously the price of the hotel was completely out of the market, but we know that it is like that in that week. €208 for a hotel that you would normally pay €70/80 just because it is in Venice. Small and uncomfortable room. There were no shower towels in the room but it didn't matter because we were in a hurry and only had to sleep for one night. The reception is deserted at 8 so we didn't ask anything and we passed by without asking anything. In the morning we check out and leave for the return trip. They call us accusing us of having stolen two bathrobes that they had put in our room, we are shocked but we ignore it and reply politely by saying that they were not there and indeed the towels were also missing. Half an hour later they called us back with a more annoyed tone telling us that the towels (so no more bathrobes) were definitely there. When we point out that he said bathrobes he tells us ”I speak Italian well”, yes definitely but maybe you should stop drinking first thing in the morning. He asks us for an email with the IBAN. Without words ! I wouldn't even have written the negative review for the conditions of the room, but given the rudeness it's honestly absurd. I pay €208 to a hotel without saying a word and then I steal towels or bathrobes or anything? I advise you to be seen by a good person, I'll pay for it, so I'll reimburse you for the phantom bathrobes/towels!
Hotel Villa Cipro

The hotel is well located at Lido, comfortable for everything, quiet and in a beautiful villa. Unfortunately, the positive part of the review ends here. Staff only present in the morning, then always desert reception, you enter with a code. The room wouldn't be bad, but the cleaning is not much, wearing bedrooms ever changed in 5 days, water axles broken and never adjusted (notified, but it seems to be necessary for hydraulic...), rather uncomfortable fabric towels. No bar. But what is not at the height of a 3-star breakfast is: served on the terrace, even under rain, no buffet, consists of a little pan and a little briochine, overfloated and heated and rubber, butter, marmelades, Then we saw the cereals served near the table, and when we asked, we answered that they had asked them in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were in the table, and that they were The first thing is that the introduction of the new CAP is a very good one, and I think that with little spending it could be improved so much. (For example, for breakfast at least a fresh bread from the baker!).

I was satisfied with the staff, the size and cleanliness of the room, and the variety of breakfast. The only downsides are that the temperature of the shower is a little low and the air volume of the dryer is weak.
Hotel Rivamare

This is a family run, boutique hotel. The staff is very friendly, and everything is super clean. I find this place has a real Fawlty Towers type of vibe to it. I struggle to give it 3/5, as it is likely closer to 2.5/5. Rooms are bare bones, and very dated, in need of significant refurbishment and furniture replacement. No coffee/tea in the rooms, and no security latches on the doors. Breakfast was adequate, though I preferred buying breakfast somewhere else. It's not in a very busy area of the island, a good 15-20 min walk from the main restaurant area with nothing around the hotel. Windows don't have any screens, so we had mosquitos in the rooms at night which was pretty annoying. However, one of the best things about this place is how they cater to families. They have rooms with bunk beds, which is amazing. Compared to Venice, Lido is chill.
Villa Venice Movie

My son and I have appreciated the host and willingness of the owner, always ready to give us tips and advice! The accommodation in the room with Marylin on the background, then ... No price! :-) Thank you! Special note to the mattress: it often doesn't happen to sleep well outside the house! Breakfast is more than dignified for our habits. The location on the channel is painting, near the beach and bus stop. With the bikes available, you can reach the centre and the boat boarding in a few minutes. This holiday will always be remembered with joy, even thanks to the stay in this facility.
Hotel & Residence Venezia 2000

The hotel is perfectly placed if you want the beach as it is opposite a fabulous public/free beach but with the option to purchase umbrellas, food, drinks etc if you want. You have a view of the beach/sea at breakfast. Also the roof terrace has sea views one way and sunset views the other which is fab! Claudio who serves at the roof terrace is an absolute joy. Reception is 24hours and staff were friendly and helpful. It's a 20 minute walk to the waterbus stop which takes you to Venice, Murano etc but the walk to the stop is alongside the sea or the Venice lagoon so is pretty special. We bought a weekly ticket for the waterbus to Venice etc at 65€ each which we thought worked out to be good value. There is a fabulous pool area nearby and 'pay for' beach which is pricey but we thought pretty good value at 12€ each for a sunbed without an umbrella at the pool or 48€ for two with padded sunbed, umbrella and table. There's a nice snack bar so you can stay all day. If you want the 'best of both worlds' Lido is ideal. We loved the calm after a busy morning exploring and sightseeing and an afternoon on the beach or by the pool was perfect for us. At first I was disappointed there were shutters at the windows and no view but it got very hot so I was glad of the air con and shutters on returning from sightseeing. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. If you want sea views pay the extra. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet with lots of choice. Overall we were very happy with our stay. Tips: sit on a bench and watch the sun set over Venice/Venice lagoon. Visit Claudio on the roof terrace and enjoy a drink (and snacks) with a view.
