Inn at the Beach-Venice Florida

The location is great, easy to find, and easy to navigate. The suite we stayed in was , cozy, clean and well appointed. Check-in was painless. It is just a short walk across the street to Venice Beach. Our overall experience was great. I would definitely recommend!

This hotel/inn is as everyone describes! The service here is stellar. Every employee was friendly. And, the front desk went out of their way to provide anything I needed. Chris and Matt helped me figure out the best room for my needs. The best rate for this hotel is definitely to call directly. I have account with other third-party vendors, but they give the best rate. The hotel only has 49 rooms and it is a locally owned hotel. Chris gave me several recommendations for food while there. He also lent me a phone cord for my iPhone because I had left mine at home. That was huge because I have an older iPhone, and I wasn’t sure I would be able to get one without having to go buy it. This is above and beyond in service and I can’t say enough about them. This is the best place to stay in Venice, not to mention that it’s right across the street from Venice Beach. I stayed in room 223 and it was the perfect room for my needs this trip. As you’ll see below, I had a view of the beach and on the first night. I did not have to go out to the beach to watch the sunset. They also had live music playing, and in the morning at 8, is a yoga class on the beach. The bed was comfortable, though just a bit firm for my liking. The pillows were varying degrees of firmness, but I always bring my own. The toiletries and linens were nice. Also, my room was small for two people, particularly the shower, but it was fine for me. A bigger person may have trouble, as the shower is not real deep. I had a balcony patio with a table and chairs. The staff also provides beach supplies, towels, sifters, scoopers, a chair, and an umbrella. Wonderful amenities. I will say that Venice Beach had large amounts of seaweed in it. I was pretty disappointed. I did go over to Nokomis Beach, the second day, on the way home and it was much better. Easier to find shells too. Another plus was the continental breakfast. So, a local bakery called Yummies, provides doughnuts every morning. Yeast raised doughnuts, as well as bagels, scones and muffins. The coffee machine was excellent. You do have to wait in line to get coffee because there’s only one machine. They also have cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk, regular continental fare. The room also has some utensils cups plates, and bowls. I did walk to eat the first night I was there. It was a half a mile down Venice Avenue. It was a bit toasty, so I chose to take the car the rest of the time but when it’s not so hot, it’s a beautiful walk down the neighborhood with shade trees most of the way. Parking is easy, and though the beach is right across the street, the hotel does have parking inside the courtyard as well as around the property. The other amenity I enjoyed was the pool and hot tub. I will definitely stay here again!

We chose The Inn as it was one of the closest hotels to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole stay. Room was clean, maid service daily, small kitchenette with microwave and small fridge. A continental style breakfast in the morning was available and free bottled water constantly available. A bonus was the free loan of beach chairs, towels and umbrella. The pool, albeit small, was perfect temperature, clean and a delight to dip in after a hot day by the sea. Only 'complaint' was the noisy (but very efficient) air conditioning unit and strangely, no ceramic mugs - just paper cups. Apart from that - perfect !
