Santé Spa Hotel

The hotel is nice and new. The food in the restaurant is delicious and diverse, and the pastry shop is very pleasant. The staff is polite and well-mannered. The best thing about this hotel is the pools and the water in them. There are various pools, the water has different temperatures, and they provide an opportunity for complete relaxation. The spa area is nothing special, but the massages they offer are very good. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. A downside is that the area around the hotel is quite overbuilt, but the service within the hotel itself is of good and high quality.

The staff could be more polite. They did not informed us about some services included in our deal. The music in the restaurant is not appropriate. The food quality is not the best. The rooms are big. There is a variety of meals. The hotel is clean.

Very interesting Hotel, one minute service is excellent the next not so good 🤔 Plus points first : Room Excellent & View, Food amazing choice & good quality with excellent service, Plenty of activities for the children. Not so good points: Weekend's very overcrowded by the pool & the hotel in general, reception desk is not this hotel's strongest point - Mistakes with the bill for drinks that we had already paid for but charged again. Two coffees at the pool bar 12 Lev is a bit pricey considering they are basically espresso with a bit of milk. In my view this is not a 5 Star hotel maybe a good 3-4 depending when you visit. Stay here again probably not there are very many good hotels in Velingrad.

The location of this hotel is a bit excentric, and there is not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity. But it is still possible to reach the town centre by foot with a 20 minutes walk. We had a family room for 4. It was big, modern and great. We enjoyed the several saunas very much, combined with the possibility to cool off with cold water, and relaxing in a quiet lounge, although the repeated music would annoy after the third time. The water, not sure if it was indeed mineral water, had a strong chlorine scent, so I'm not sure how good it is eg for people with eczema. The food was excellent. There was a wide variety at the buffet table, and we could order from a good collection of wines separately. The gym is a joke. The machines are poor, and there is no space if other guests join as well. There is also a lack of capacity for the elevators, so we spent a lot of time waiting for them, or took the stairs instead. We ordered two rooms at first, but cancelled one immediately. We asked immediately for a partial refund, but the response was that we would get a refund after our stay, when other expenses were subtracted. We left the hotel with no specification of our expenses, despite us asking, as we were promised that it would be e-mailed to us right away. It took months of us, and endless e-mailing and calling, to finally get our money back, and we still have doubts about the amount. We still did not get a specification, so there is no way for us to check. Our advice is not to pay in advance. You may have better protection when booking through a third party website, and certainly not the full amount or more.
