The castle is smaller than expectation. The swimming pool is closed and there is not so many to see and walk around. There is only one towel for 2 persons? 🤔🤔

Il y avait 6 ans que nous n'avions plus séjourné à la Tortinière que nous fréquentons depuis plus de 45 ans. Même si la famille Olivereau a (malheureusement) passé la main l'établissement continue à frôler la perfection absolue. Cadre tellement beau et bien entretenu que l'on dirait un décor de cinéma, personnel attentif et très aimable, chambre superbe. Certes, le restaurant n'a (toujours) RIEN de gastronomique mais l'on y mange bien et la carte des vins est très correcte. Nous y retournerons encore et encore !

The experience here was fairly mixed, and as visitors last year it seemed clear to us that the hotel has undoubtedly declined during that period. The service was pretty lacklustre and disorganised for a hotel at this price point. There were some clearly experienced and good members of staff, but not enough. The setting is still truly stunning and breakfast was excellent. We stayed in one of the outbuildings, which was quite tired and in need of a good freshen up. It was the same room we had last time and it was just on the edge of acceptable then. Dinner portions were ridiculously small and the quality was mixed. We came back as we loved it so much last year, but we won’t come back again, I don’t think. It’s quite expensive for what is on offer.

Lovely property and the staff is wonderful. We enjoyed wine on the terrace until chased in by rain. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the restaurant especially since our server assisted with wine pairings.

Un des grand avantage de cet hôtel est le restaurant référencé au guide Michelin mais malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu y dîner . Pensez à demander un table des votre réservation. Établissement très bien situé pour visiter les châteaux d’azay le rideau ou Chenonceau par exemple. Très bon petit déjeuner et possible de se promener dans le parc
