Where to start hey. Arrived at this gorgeous looking Hotel and gladly paid the 5 star 150 euros to the reception manager. Shown to our spacious room overlooking the sea, fridge always had adequate bottled water and cans of fizzy drinks. All good so far. After 10 nights though, and in my opinion, a few things had down graded this hotel into a 4 star hotel. Start with the positives. Great food with lots of choices each visit. Lovely pool area and beds very comfy if you’re up early enough to get one. If you miss out there are other areas to get a bed in other parts of Arina Beach. All drinks are of good standard except the Brandy which I didn’t like or the on tap red wine. Arina has its own sandy beach which was kept well. Good day and night entertainment mostly. I wasn’t keen on the magic or pirate show. Most restaurant staff were good but some staff lacked motivation. Well done to Antonis , Christina & Levantis for making our visits to the restaurant a nice experience. Rooms were cleaned well each day, thank you Sula on floor 2. Now the Negatives - if you like Honey Bees (many hundreds of them) you’ll be ok, we do and we didn’t mind them landing on us. However if you don’t like them, look out, because if you threaten them they will sting you, and many people especially children were stung over the period we were there. Then the SPA , well all I’ll say is, after 3/4 of an hour of them telling me about each massage, I politely asked for them to put a price next to each massage on the brochure or holiday app, to save my holiday time. To this they advised that they didn’t operate that way and I said “well that seems to me that you’re embarrassed about your prices” E.G 138 Euros for the Aloe shine inner Balance Hydro face 60 minute massage. Or a 50 minute Inner Balance massage for 2 of us 171 Euros. This took about 3/4 of an hour for the masseur to explain these treatments. I asked to see the Hotels sales manager (Ariadni Chnara) who offered my Wife and I two half hour complimentary massages (which I’d like to say, was kind but not the reason for my complaint) The Manager stated that the Spa was not directly under the Hotel, but under there own Management and she was unable to get them to give me a price list. She did apologise and left a lovely bottle of Red Wine, some fruit and some pastries in our room. My Wife did have a half hour massage which she said was very good. If I Managed this Hotel, I’d make sure the price for each massage was on the brochure or hotel app. Went for a few walks around the Hotel, and but for a few shops and run down tavernas there isn’t a lot going on close to the Hotel. Bus stop though right outside of the Arina Beach. The last few days of my holiday, people were finding it difficult to get a restaurant table, again this should not happen in a 5 star Hotel. Tip - At the main bar on the night only draught Red Wine was available, so we made sure we took a bottle from the restaurant through with us. It amazes me
