Mentor Hotel

Great location at the quiet end of the bay, but only 5 mins walk from the town square. We had a very comfortable top floor room overlooking the harbour. Very helpful staff and mega breakfast. After we had checked out, there was an enormous rain storm, so we returned and they were very happy for us to sit in the lounge and drink coffee until it was time to depart to catch the ferry back to Kefalonia. Highly recommended

The Mentor Hotel is excellent and I fully endorse all the positive comments made by other reviewers. I was made to feel very welcomed and cared for and would like to mention Alex, Barbara and Toulah who went out of their way to help when there were problems with my mobile phone. Thank you!! I would love to spend another holiday in Vathy and would certainly stay again in this lovely hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean although with a tiny bathroom. However sheets were changed regularly along with daily clean and high quality towels. No shortage of hot water. A small balcony overlooked the town with a sea view from the side. Air con in room for hot weather and slept well Reception were friendly and very helpful arranging taxi etc The terrace has an incredible view of the bay which is stunning. Breakfast was excellent and couldn’t have a better view, pity about the smoking though which is allowed on the terrace and seemingly everywhere on Ithaca. We hired a scooter - best way to see island - not in the best condition and roads are mainly in poor condition but little traffic.(taxi drivers spend half the time looking at their phones so we decided to avoid as much as possible) Hotel was busy but mostly quiet and relaxing. Has small lift but steps to front entrance. Great location near amenities and parking nearby.

Great hotel , rooms and hotel were spotless with clean towels everyday . Staff were attentive and helpful. Good varied choice on offer for breakfast. Beautiful terrace on which to take breakfast , And later for pre dinner ouzo or late night coffee and Metaxa looked after by Alex

Nice room with a view over the bay. BUT it is impossibly to sleep because the hotel are full of very noisy kids shouting and screeming and slammming doors in the nighttime - and the hotel did not do anything about it. Unfortunately wee can’t recommend the hotel - wee have to leave the hotel tre days before expected.
