3-Star Hotels in Varese

We have just come back from a week in Varese. We chose the hotel Europa as they have some rooms equipped with a little kitchen. It was a special and important occasion for us. What to say: first, the location is unbeatable while you are right in te city center, with dozen of restaurants nearby. Parking is not an issue as the hotel has a closed parking. In terms of furnishing, services etc. It is a typical Italian 3 stars hotel. Somehow you can feel that the place has had a glorious past and feels now a bit decadent (green spaces not wow, some kitch decoration touches etc), a restaurant which is now a pub with a limited choice BUT what Makes the Europa special are the people working there: Alessandro, Roberto and Daniela in reception, the guy managing the pub / restaurant and of course the chambermaid Nicoletta: they really made us feeling and at home and they are the best reason to come back!

Just 2953 feet from Varese city center and the train station, Hotel Stelvio offers free outdoor and garage parking, and free Wi-Fi. An okay hotel, really polite staff location is not the best but you have 2 supermarkets just in front of the hotel, But IS TOO FAR FROM THE LAKES. the room are okay really plain and don't expect anything else, NO TEA/ COFFEE SOAP/ ANY EXTRA to make a nice welcome. The majority of food that is offered is, gluten, lactose free, vegan. But some people don't like it and there's not many other choices. Too much sweet food, not much savoury and please do not order the eggs. Also breakfast it's from 7 to 9:30 and if you for e.g. arrive at 8 30/9 most of the food is finished and it doesn't get replaced. If you like coffe ask for a double or even triple as it tastes like water. Overall is not bad but for that price you can find much better.

We stayed for a night in this hotel, which looks at the Lake Varese. Location quiet and relaxing. Our room had a large and comfortable bed and a small terrace. The hotel also has a restaurant open to the public that we have not tried. We will certainly return to try their kitchen, which, as others say, is very good.

5 stars not because of the venue, but because of the staff. What a fantastic stay. We were made to feel so welcome even though we speak so little Italian. The place is reasonable, spotless, and very picturesque. Viviana on reception always had a lovey smile an was willing to help. Marcello lovely helpful man. My personal favorite was the delightful Alessia at the bar. That girl made our stay! Well done, whoever hires here deserves a pay rise!! Looking forward to staying again. PS the dinner in the evening could have been a bit nicer. Grazie!

After a long time, finally an overnight stay in this beautiful hotel. Closed because of Covid, but now open again. Good: Friendly staff, very nicely furnished rooms (especially deluxe rooms and up). Great pillows, fast wifi, good lighting concept, nice terrace, big bathroom. Not so good: Breakfast room a bit cold in terms of atmosphere

The hotel is located in a peripheral area of Varese, but very green and quiet, a true oxygen mouth after the Milan lakes and the city traffic. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre. In my view, the price is more than fair (€ 82 including residence fee) given that it was a Saturday night and there was a concert in the city of the same time.

We have stayed here a number of times and come at least once a year to stay. The kids love the breakfast buffet - even though it is sparse and minimalistic, they enjoy the fact that the soft boiled eggs are delivered to the table and that they have to make their own toast! We placed our largish family in one suite and slept well! Great beds, plenty of pillows and no request left unfulfilled. The staff is more that accommodating, and are, as is expected in Italy, extremely kids friendly. Highly and without reservations, recommended.
