This hotel is on the edge of Lake Como, in the center of the town of Sorrento. It is an old villa, a few steps away from the church and bell tower in the center of the town.
The town is not big, but it is very beautiful. It is built next to Lake Como. There is a mountain next to it, and there is a castle on the mountain. It takes half a day to tour the whole town. You can overlook the scenery of Lake Como by climbing to the castle.
Environment: The environment is really beautiful. When you open the window, you can see Lake Como. When you go out, turn left and you will find the center of the town. It is very convenient to eat.
Hygiene: The bathroom is in good condition, with a shower room, artistic floor tiles, good bedding, and a super big bed.
Facilities: The room above the castle is an attic, and downstairs is the restaurant. The waiter preparing breakfast is a bit noisy in the morning, the facilities are relatively old, and the sound insulation effect is average.

Hotel Villa Cipressi is centrally located besides Lake Como and the rooms are clean. But that’s where the positives end! The front desk service during the daytime was unacceptable. The woman at reception displayed overtly discriminatory behavior, treating me—a paying Indian guest—with a condescending attitude, in stark contrast to how she interacted with others. Her tone was patronizing, her demeanour dismissive, and her conduct entirely unprofessional. She seemed to forget that basic respect is a cornerstone of hospitality. To add to the disappointment, the breakfast was average and uninspired—not remotely in line with what one expects from a four-star property. When a hotel trades charm for bias and warmth for apathy, it fails at its most fundamental purpose. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone expecting respect and equitable treatment.

We travelled from Australia and had the pleasure of spending three unforgettable nights at this exceptional hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was immaculate, beautifully maintained, and offered breathtaking views that made every moment feel special. The breakfast was an absolute highlight—an impressive and delicious selection, presented with care and style. The breakfast staff truly go above and beyond, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest feels valued. This hotel exceeded all expectations—we can’t wait to return.

This hotel is a classic tourist trap. Centrally Located with beautiful gardens in property. Unfortunately, rooms are old, staff while attentive are too few for many visitors rushing in the summer. High booking rate no amenities terrible beds and pillows - just no good. Did I mention you have to pay for water in the rooms? At the room rate charged lots to be desired. Very bad value in my view

O hotel não tem um bom custo beneficio, embora a equipe de recepcionistas sejam bem atenciosas, principalmente as que nos ajudaram com informações imprescindíveis e certeiras como a IRENE e VERÔNICA e o pessoal do café da manhã que foram super educadas, competentes, prestativas e carinhosas, sempre se esforçando para colaborar da melhor maneira possível, a DANIELA, GIARDA e outra que infelizmente não lembro o nome que até foi no interior da cozinha para mostrar as frutas que compunham um suco que não conseguimos entender a tradução

This was the best stay ever. Such a beautiful place and worth every penny. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The view from my room of the lake was amazing. Thank you and I hope to stay again one day.
