Very good location! There is a lake below the hotel where you can swim and sunbathe. The scenery is very good. It's just a little noisy at night.

Aziz was truly the standout of our entire weekend in Lake Como. He went above and beyond during our friend’s wedding—his attentiveness, charisma, and energy added so much warmth and fun to an already magical celebration. Even after the restaurants had closed, he made sure we were taken care of, bringing out late-night drinks with a smile and incredible service. The hotel itself is beautiful, but Aziz’s dedication and personality are what made the experience unforgettable. He’s a true gem and we’re all still talking about how amazing he was. Thank you, Aziz!

Great location right off of the town square. Beautiful hotel, very peaceful and romantic atmosphere. The deluxe Lakeview rooms are spacious and have amazing views. Rooms were very clean. Excellent breakfast. Food and service at the hotel restaurant, Victoria Grill, was very good. Staff was attentive to all of our needs and very helpful. Highly recommend asking the hotel to transport you in their little shuttle to and from train station rather than walking. Very easy to arrange this.

Hard to believe for such an elegant place but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL to avoid SCAM ! Let me breakdown mine : - 3 coperto - 15 dollars - which is common practice (usually between 1 to 3euro per pax) and it needs to be stated on the menu but… ok to pay for that… - 18euro - suggested tip without consent - 20euro for a cocktail, even if the price on the menu is 18 (their excuse is that the menu is old and doesn’t reflect the updated prices (illegal)) -8 euro for a sparkling water, even if the price on the menu is 5euro (their excuse is that it s not the same bottle that they were selling originally) I asked for a small dish of white pasta for my 2 years old baby, not in the menu, that they initially priced the same than my most expensive gnocchi dish (ridiculous… they admitted the scam and corrected the price to 15 euro) All of this in my back coz if i just tapped my credit card without checking , they would have charged 30% of hidden fees / additional costs Disgusting behavior, and if anyone experienced this in the past or future, please reach out to me as I really believe it s actually a “SCAM” and I am thinking at investigating a bit further… They tried to apology, but only suggested a limoncello as a nice gesture and not refunding the overcharged items I am speechless - and almost felt discriminated - please be careful …

El hotel es bonito, el check in era a ñas 2 nos dieron una habitacion a las 5, estuvimos esperando y no nos dieron, luego el desayuno estuvo muy bien, el hotel es lindo pero su servicio fue malo al final para bajarnos las maletas 30 minutos.. 😖😖 creo que el precio versus su servicio es malo

The charming town of Varenna and this wonderful hotel are truly enchanting… the views are stunning, the service and breakfast are excellent, and this is an ideal location easily accessible by direct train just over one hour from Milan, and also within a 15-20 minute ferry ride to Bellagio and Menaggio. Varenna also has a number of excellent restaurants, including Osteria Quattro Pass, and cute shops to browse. Look no further… you won’t regret this excellent choice!

The hotel is located right on the main square by the church and overlooks Lake Como. The staff is very helpful. They provide a shuttle service from the train station to the hotel if needed. Our suite overlooked the lake with a small balcony. Incredible views both during the day as well at night of the lake and looking out at Bellagio and the other village within our line of sight. The restaurants at the hotel provide excellent dining options so don't hesitate to use them. Varenna is a smaller village but not as busy as Bellagio or Como and affords a more intimate setting, esp in the evening when most of the day visitors have left. When we return to Varenna we will be staying back at this hotel in the same suite.
