Retro hotel, everything is fine except for the inconvenient parking. The hotel also has a spa. There is also a buffet Chinese food in the shopping mall not far from the hotel 😃

Suprisingly luxurious hotel. The hotel reminded me of Relais et Chateau properties we stayed at during the 1990s--smaller hotels with local character. My room was great (except for the view out onto a concrete work area--I kept the sheers drawn). Furniture with character, very luxurious bathroom including rolltop tub. The best breakfast I had in Denmark or Sweden (and there was stiff competition). And I only paid $85 for a Superior Double--couldn't believe it. The only negative is driving in the town--impossible without Maps--and the offsite parking in a nearby ramp.

Wonderful stay at this unique hotel. Perfect location close to the rail station, harbor and the city center. The rooms are small but they’re clean, the beds are comfortable and the entire hotel is like a Victorian mansion with ornate decorations and memorabilia, and books lining every wall including in every room. And there’s a basement spa, including access to the healing waters for which this area is well known (disclaimer-we did not actually use the spa). The staff are very friendly and helpful and the morning breakfast was the best we’ve had on our three week Scandinavian adventure. And be sure and visit the nearby fortress, which is an easy five minute walk from the hotel. It’s historic, enormous and well worth a visit to the museum there.

Funky hotel, lots of atmosphere, with good location near park, castle, sea, restaurants. An excellent breakfast in a charming dining room - mushroomed scrambled eggs were a nice change. As a solo traveler, the room & bath were exceptionally small, the bed not level & too soft for me. I am a small person so I can not imagine an average sized man occupying this space or fitting into the shower. It was warmish. The window barely opened, & the fan was small, like the room. That said, a single bed, chair, tiny frig/mini bar, no kettle, & 2 small tables were fitted into the space. The red belvrt curtains totally blocked out the sun but meant no air. There was a hair dryer & make-up mirror, but the light is very dim in the whole space except from the window. There is an elevator, as reception is up 2 flights. A nice roof top space & a spa which I did not have time to use. Loved the common areas, books. The Lenin thing is too weird IMHO, especially now. Because of the room size, bed, & poor ventilation, it was an average experience for me.

They sold a 3 star hotel room for €201 per night in the middle of nowhere. When we had to cancel 10 days! priorly- they refused to refund our booking and refused to recover our booking. And gave it away plus charged us.👹

If you’re tired of hotel-chic greyge the this may be the hotel for you. Maximalist decor (William Morris wallpaper, antique/vintage furniture and fittings, books everywhere) - we found it charming, and the breakfast was first class. Our room was not air conditioned and was rather hot when we arrived, but it cooled down quickly when the sun went down, and we had a fan, so no issue sleeping. Bathroom was basic but clean with a good hot shower. Dinner in the hotel’s adjacent courtyard restaurant with live music was a highlight of our trip to Sweden.

This hotel really surprised me! It’s such a lovely place to stay. It’s centrally located and has a lot of caracter. Staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and served in a very cozy environment. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I had a small balcony that extended my room and gave me some extra space to relax. And the best part of all, there are books everywhere. If you enjoy reading, this will be a paradise. Most of them of course are in Swedish, but i could even find an easy one to start reading Swedish. The first book is on the hotel and if you would like to take more than one, they sell you for a very reasonable price. Their restaurant is quite good as well. Köttbullar and entrecôte are delicious. I haven’t tried the spa as I stayed just for 2 days in the city. I will definitely try it next time. :)

Very nice little hotel in the city centre with very odd decorations and an all blue bath/spa in the basement. Fantastic staff both friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were individually designed with great comfort!
