Diarrhea + bed bug bites = highly not recommended! ! ! Remember to bring insect repellent spray, as there is still a risk of dengue fever if bitten by local black mosquitoes! ! The hotel socket is European standard 220V, but a converter is required! The tour guide only recommends the Meliá Group because it is the only one managed by foreign investors! According to local standards in Cuba, the IBEROSTAR hotel is considered the best in VARADERO. The Google rating of 4.7 is also very good, but personal experience: 1️⃣The best is the beach (fine sand, warm and clear sea water) 2️⃣No service provided Tips are also considered appropriate (tips are even better) 3️⃣ Also, the hotel is small and has three floors. The overall environment is quiet and green (so the second picture is a sea view room on the second floor. It was a very nice experience. The people are so kind, and after a few days they know what’s your favourite drink. The beach is amazing it’s very clear and clean. Basically, you can walk very far. In the hotel, there are many places to eat and to drink. The rooms are really very clean and very quiet. The guests are also friendly and it’s perfect for compass and family

I had a wonderful experience here in this paradise, ocean is beautiful clear water and blue. Temperature very warm. The hotel is decorated by a garden full of flowers and trees. Architecture is like piece of art, different styles. The entertainment non stop everyday pool and beach full of activities like dance lesson, aqua gym, musical quiz and show at night. Pedro the best entertainer always smile and makes me feel happy. I strongly recommend this hotel

Thank you customer service, especially Dana, for great service! . Is my first time in Iberostar Selection Varadero and no complaints. We celebrated the 75 birthday of my husband and we ate at the Mediterranean a la carte restaurant, the service was amazing and they treat us so good. We were in 1243 and the maid was awesome kept the room clean. Even the gardeners were so nice and every day they gave me flowers and make my day. We are planning already to come back to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We highly recommend the hotel.

I just returned from an amazing stay at this hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough! Our agency Viagens e Baratas got us the best deal and from the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beautiful surroundings and how warm and welcoming the staff were. Everyone was so friendly and always ready to help with a smile, making the entire experience so much better. The food was delicious with so many options to choose from, but what really made this stay unforgettable was the entertainment team, especially Pedro. He was absolutely fantastic, always making sure we were having the best time possible. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy. Honestly, Pedro elevated the whole experience – his professionalism and positive attitude really make this hotel stand out! I also have to give a shoutout to the hotel director, who was constantly around, checking in and making sure everything was perfect. It’s clear how much they care about their guests, and it really showed. Overall, I had an incredible time at this hotel, and I’ll definitely be coming back. A huge thank you to Pedro and the rest of the wonderful team for making this stay so special!

Absolutely amazing gentle staff, incredible animation on the pool with the animator dancing with thr people in pure joy.This hotel is absolutely amazing.Its from 2005 yet on google it has the best rating of any hotel in all of cuba.The hotel is beautiful.The only slight problem is that one time the fish they gave me wasnt quite well cooked but thats not a big problem.I absolutely recommend this hotel!

3rd time at this hotel and I would never go to any other!!!!! The best staff by far, we started by friend and now I can say I feel like family. So much to say but I will start with Yoanna, she work at the office, I believe Customer relations. Let me tell u, she is the major reason I keep going to this hotel. Such an amazing person, beautiful inside and out. She has made us feel so welcomed to the point that she remembers and asks abt some of my family members who did t come this last time. She goes above and beyond to make us feel at home and comfortable. Nomatter how busy she is she will always make time. Her customer service is beyond anything I would expect. She does it all with love and a huge smile. She took care of us all 3 trips and I am grateful to have met her. The staff is what makes this hotel, believe me. My 16 year old son is taken care of like he is a family member and that makes me feel great

I am so disappointed in my second home visit from home. It was my 7 or 8 trip back . Last one was less than 11 month ago. What a change to the worst . Every thing went down hill. Food from amazing variety to very poor , you can’t even toast your bread , morning breakfast nothing other than eggs, no beacon no sausages, condiments no where to be found . Cheeses are so limited when it were 11 month ago more than 12 varieties, bread is frozen , first night my room was horrible, blood was on the bed sheet , mosquitos eat us alive , follower was so dirty , next to the kids play park where 24 hours water fall noise . Insects all over the room , air condition so noisy you could hear it from miles . My trip 11 month ago my room had North America electric plugs, this room was a room from the past century. I asked for an adapter for my CPAP machine they said we will send you one , later they said no we do not have it . However they corrected the situation by sending us to a better room. The staff are doing their best , they are short staff and when I asked what happened to the staff used to be here they said they went to a BETTER resorts and some went to Spain and the US ????? . I paid a premium to enjoy a 5 stars resort the quality this time is not even 3 stars . So so sorry I am not going back . By the way sea food was always available this time nothing nothing , what shame .
