Super 8 by Wyndham Van Buren/Ft. Smith Area

Room was clean. Well located near a lot of restaurants with easy access to the interstate. Front desk worker made a lot of jokes, some fell flat. Breakfast is limited and you have to pass through the hot pool room to get there. Conditioner and bar soap are not available.

My wife, our two children, and her mother were traveling cross country to visit her brother. It was very late at night and they were getting tired, so I booked them a hotel room. This was one of the few places available right off the interstate. I made the reservation around 11:50 PM. Not long after, around 12:30 or 12:45 AM, my wife called me upset because the hotel was trying to charge her a $35 early check-in fee. According to the front desk, the booking was for the next night, even though it had just been made less than an hour earlier. She tried to explain the situation, but after nearly eight hours of driving she was exhausted. It seems their booking system automatically rolls reservations over to the next day if it’s after midnight, which led to this confusion. Just a heads up to anyone traveling late at night: if you book after midnight, their system may register your stay for the following night. Double check before confirming to avoid unexpected fees.

Average but OK Facility has been recently painted and fixed up. Rooms are small and there is no elevator. It's only 2 floors but a hassle with heavy luggage. OK for a simple overnight stay and economically priced. Easy and close Interstate access.

The front desk receptionist was absolutely incredible!!! She was friendly and helpful in a way we had not experienced with hotel staff before. Absolutely amazing!

Negatives: Smell in the main hallway a little weird (other guests? Cooking food?) Check in took a while. No hot protien at breakfast :( Positives: Room wonderful! Staff wonderful! Pool open and avaliable wonderful! All aspects clean!

I am very happy to have found this little gem in Van Buren, Arkansas. My family and I are like to stretch the dollar as far as possible when traveling. This hotel is an exceptional value. It is located on a hill and dead end street. The traffic noise was next to zero at night. It is within walking distance to several places to eat or purchase items you may need. It is a budget friendly hotel that is very clean and gives out many amenities to its customers. We have stayed here twice and both times Chanelle checked us in and was very helpful. She enjoys having you as a customer and looks forward to your stay. On the second visit, Chanelle saw our reservation and kept a look out for our arrival. She was walking out to the EV parking and unlocking the charger for our stay, when we arrived. I have never seen this level of service in all my traveling over the years. Checkin was smooth and flawless each time. The rooms were clean and exeptional. This level of comfort is hard to find at a price you want to pay. The EV charging worked flawless. This is a benefit that is exceptional and free to customers only. It sets this hotel apart for EV drivers. The Wifi was excellent. The breakfast was a good and simple. It was kept stocked and the servers checked on it frequently. The pool area was clean and you can even wash clothes at this location. Overall don't overlook this hotel it is bove and beyond.
