I booked a 7-night stay at this hostel over New Year's for CLP 307,732.00, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I'll admit upfront: I made the mistake of not remembering a small note about their special New Year's cancellation policy when I booked months ago. However, when I canceled my reservation well in advance, I received no warning, pop-up, or reminder that I was forfeiting the entire payment. This oversight could have been prevented with better communication, but instead, I was left with no booking and no money. I reached out to the hostel, explained the situation, and made every effort to come to a fair agreement. I even requested to have my original booking reinstated, as I've already paid in full and wasn't asking for anything extra. Despite my polite requests, they flat-out refused to help in any way. Their response made it clear that they don't care about their guests or the fact that this is a significant amount of money for most people. Mistakes happen, and I was more than willing to meet them halfway, but their complete lack of empathy or willingness to find a fair resolution was appalling. If you value fair treatment and customer service, avoid this hostel at all costs. They'll take your money without a second thought, show no respect for the effort you've made to resolve an issue, and leave you high and dry. One star is generous—I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
