Thank you to the staff at Maki Hostels. I really enjoyed my time there. I love that they spoke English and it was very convenient to walk to all the major attractions in Cerro Allegre and Cerro Conception.

¡Lamentablemente nos decepciono por completo! íbamos con mucha ilusión de vivir la experiencia porteña y pasar un inolvidable año nuevo, pero se vio empañado ya que cuando nos íbamos a acostar salio de la cama un RATON y estuvimos horas tratando que nos devolvieran el dinero e idealmente que se hicieran cargo del nuevo alojamiento que debíamos pagar para cambiarnos el cual duplicado o triplicaba el valor ya pagado en Maki por ser año nuevo. Siendo las 4.39 de la mañana, sentada en el sillon de la fria recepción, aún no tenemos el dinero de vuelta, el dueño/administrador se niega a hablar con nosotros por estar "en malas condiciones", le dice a la recepcionista que si queremos que nos vayamos y después de insistencia nos mandó un mail indicando primero la devolución no seria por el total y luego que si, pero recién el 2 días más. Es decir, no tengo alojamiento decente, ni dinero, con un niño y dos adultos mayores y nisiquiera puedo tomar un bus ya que en este horario no hay y este arriendo lo tenia 2 días

Chaleureux et très sympathique
Ambiance très chaleureuse et sympathique. Personnel très à l’écoute. Beaucoup de rencontres malgré la partie Hôtel il y a aussi la partie auberge. Peu de wi-fi en chambre mais amélioré par la suite (déplacement de la borne wi-fi spécialement pr la ch 2 que j’occupais)

Way past it’s prime. Not clean.
I had the split level with two singles. The downstairs bed smelled a bit like urine. The upstairs bed was uncomfortably hot. I couldn’t stand up straight in the shower. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. I wish I had just paid up for a decent hotel. This place is a hostel in desperate need of a deep clean and a paint job. The pluses were the service and the location.
