Clean, quiet, good breakfast and great staff, just what we needed for our 2 night stay to attend a wedding in the area. We had to check out early on our last day and they even went out of their way to get us some breakfast food even though it wasn't officially open yet.

Beyond the quality of the hotel, which would be motel quality, the rooms on the first floor all smell so badly of mildew and algae from the pool it made everyone in our party get sick the next morning after inhaling all night. All of us were in 4 different rooms of varying distance from the taped off/GREEN pool. The pool seemed to be either bubbling or it was from liquid dripping from the ceiling, however the smell was too foul to investigate as a patron. Initially we wrote it off as simply a cheap and outdated hotel, but since we all got sick i wanted to warn others. In a word; disgusting.

We got a complimentary upgrade which was nice. You can tell some things have been updated, but not everything. The carpet looked newer. The couch was in really bad shape and dirty. The tv didn’t have Netflix, but strangely there was a large boombox in the room. I haven’t seen one of those in ages. The bed and shower were good. The room was clean for the most part, but some things were definitely worn making it feel less clean than I think it was. The breakfast was a typical Fairfield, and it was good. The staff were wonderful! We used points for our stay, because the night we stayed, the price was close to $300 which I do not think this hotel is worth. For using points, it was fine, and we had a good stay.

Front desk was helpful and cheerful. We arrived early during rain and the welcome was cheerful. The room was available and we checked in before time. Room was clean and compact a bit. Breakfast was the usual. Once we will be again in the area, we will stay again.

The Valpo FFI, is pretty much your average hotel for the chain. The rooms are clean, but they come with the regular louder-than-a--jet-engine heating and cooling system. We were lucky enough to arrive when the weather was comfortably temperate, and cracked the window open a little rather than run the noisy thing. Also, the hotel sits near a busy thoroughfare, so if make sure you request a room *away* from the roadway, not facing it. Breakfast was your typical "scrambled eggs and something" options. Again, not bad, just not surprising. Front desk service was amiable.

I choose Marriott properties because of the brand consistency. Of the thousands of Marriott stays, this was the absolute worst. It was so awful; I immediately called the corporate office. I seriously doubt if any changes have been made, but I'm trying to save someone else the horror of staying here. As I checked in, the manager told me the pool and hot tub were out of service. I wasn't planning on using them, but still, that should have been my first clue that the property had issues. Our room had not been renovated for 20 years and the furniture was completely worn out. The loveseat was so broken down, we could not sit on it. I opened the closet, and the entire door came out of the wall on top of me. The circa 2000 television "set" with coordinating boom box did not work. After I called the corporate office, I was moved to a room with a working closet door and "television set." However, the loveseat was still completely worn out. This hotel was extremely overpriced. We had just left a very nice, actual suite in Nashville that cost less, was located in an area near entertainment and included better amenities. I was given extra points for the awful room, which in no way compensates for Marriott offering such a subpar experience to its guests. Shame on you, Marriott. Are times this tough that you can't update rooms more often than every 20 years? There was also no coffee in the new room.

Very comfortable bed, helpful staff, very clean. I had a room on the back side of the hotel so no traffic noise, though I could hear folks walking above me (ask for upper floor if a light sleeper). They had a good hot breakfast daily with assorted cereals, etc. Convenient location, next to restaurants. I was given an "accessible" room but think some folks might have found it difficult (no walk-in shower, just one in tub), and sink had little room to place anything. Decor has been updated since my prior visit. Didn't try indoor pool; hot tub wasn't working.

Visiting friends who live here and this is an excellent location to do so. Room comfortable and breakfast choices fine. Every staff member very helpful regarding area and made us feel welcome. Also close to EV charging points.

We stayed here for one night on a road trip. We used Marriott points to book; those made this a relatively inexpensive stay so I can't comment on cash value. The hotel is a little tired and run-down, but it does its best. The king-size bed we had was very comfortable, the bathroom/shower were small but clean and worked well. Breakfast was included, and it had multiple hot options available in the morning. There was also free popcorn available at night. Note that it's on a fairly busy road, so I wouldn't expect to walk to anything nearby, we used our car. I wouldn't call this a fancy hotel, but it worked fine for our purposes, and I'd stay again.
