Great location for ferry port. Lovely food. Everyone friendly. I felt at home. Nice to have a bath and shower in en suite.

Nice enough place - great breakfast and lovely comfy beds. There was a little traffic noise but it was acceptable as it was on a junction. If you have a room overlooking the kitchen it could get noisy as staff could be quite vocal at times. Relatively clean but could have done with a quick vacuum but beds were made daily and bins emptied We ate in the bar one evening and could not fault the food - it was lovely and even had a vegetarian section on the menu. Staff could have been friendlier when checking in and checking out and no one even looked at you to say good morning etc Good base for us to visit Anglesey.

Possibly one of the worst meals I’ve ever paid for! Will not be returning! Such a shame as the food used to be okay. £18 for “seafood selection” all frozen 2 cod bites 2 salt and pepper squid 2 calamari ring and 2 prawns with frozen chips! It all came out burnt!!

Booked a. 2 room suite, very impressed. The room had everything we needed, nice and clean, and comfy beds. It was quiet too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very tasty evening meal. Breakfast was a bit pricy at £12 each, but plenty of choice.

We stayed last Thursday night because we were on a late sailing from Ireland. The reason we chose this hotel was because it was dog friendly and we had 2 with us. One of the dogs had an accident on the landing towards our room and although we cleaned it, it Did leave marks. At 7am someone knocked the door twice when we answered we were roared at and embarrassed by the way, as we later were informed, by the housekeeper, who shouted at us about the marks on the already well stained floor. We asked her to keep her voice down and we requested that we deal with the manager, who arrived. He informed us that a cleaning company would sort this out for £150 which was duly paid. There was no consideration given to other sleeping guests by this woman. We went for breakfast which was mediocre to say the least. We had to walk from one room to another for drinks and toast. On leaving the hotel I photographed marked walls, carpets and dirty taps in the downstairs toilet. Never again!

Booked at very short notice due to expected bad weather on the morning of a ferry crossing to Ireland. Friendly and flexible staff, quiet and comfortable room, good dinner and breakfast options, plenty of car parking, and all at at extremely low room rate. Incredible value for money, thank you.

Dissapointed with my visit yesterday, i feel i have to give an opinion as this is the second disappointing visit in 2 months. 2 out of 3 such a shame. Menu seems to keep changing too?. First visit... Jacket with garlic mushrooms on menu, as i was ordering 1 member informed another that they do not serve jp&mushrooms anymore& that the menu was due to change. Ok fair. Next visit.... Jp garlic mushrooms on!!. It was really nice too. Yesterday lunch..... Ordered jp mushrooms as it was so good last time..... We've had a new menu jacket&mushrooms not on anymore!! . I asked if i could please have jacket with MELTED cheese & coleslaw on top. My 80yr old mum had the same. I was looking forward. Sat down, staff came over politely said we couldn't sit there, we had to move, wasn't great for my mum. (the room was empty apart from1 couple!). I asked oh is it possible please for me to have a lump of butter instead of the portions, yes no problem.(it wastes too many portions). Girls were nice&polite as always. We sat our food came.... Butter pottions in a bowl solid cold, jp filled with COLD cheese,(this is why i ask for it to be melted. Ate my salad, ate into the jp a bit & gave up. Mam left most of her food, we even left the drinks&we left. Just so many dissapointments. Sorry.

We were booked in for a 4 night stay at the Valley hotel, we arrived after 3pm and after ringing the bell several times ( no-one on reception) a young girl arrived to check us in without even a greeting informed us she hadn't worked thrre for a long time and couldn't remember how to do things but eventually found our booking. She then went on to say we had to pay in full on arrival which shocked us and said we weren't aware of this. The young girl continued by saying that because of problems with network rail leaving without paying this was their policy I pointed out we were not network rail and we were staying for 4 nights she called for the manager who then insisted we paid in full or we could leave. We compromised and we paid for that 1st night the manager asked if we wanted to reserve tables for dinner and breakfast these prices are an extra charge hence the reason why we were shocked about paying for room upfront. The following morning after deliberating whether we should stay my husband went to pay the remaining bill it was at this point when we noticed we had been overcharged. We went to speak to the manager and explained we had been overcharged he said it was impossible as the system he uses wouldn't let him over or undercharged prices, again I explained that we had already paid for the previous night and to check the price on the original booking deduct the price paid and we should only have the remaining to pay. Once he saw the mistake no apology was given I was just asked for our card so he could transfer the refund. On checking out I asked how long refund would normally take the lady I spoke to said she would get the manager, again in his rude attitude told me it would 3/5 working days. It was at this point I said that from the moment of arrival we were not made welcome at the valley hotel we were compared to network rail to which he said that wasn't him which is correct it wasn't. I mentioned the prepayment system informing him I had double checked emails and no mention of paying in full on arrival he then went on to say we refused to pay which was never the case I explained his rude argumentative attitude when questioning refund he then insisted he wasn't working on Tuesday when it was him I spoke to no apology given. As I was leaving and him asking me to leave his response I HOPE YOU CRASH ON YOUR WAY HOME. I was outraged by his comment I returned and asked him to repeat himself and informed him it was a horrible thing to say to anyone never mind a guest his reply was f@#k off and that he was phoning the police and that I was barred. As I told him I pitty his staff who were lovely and friendly having to work under such a horrible man
