The Gomerino Hotel

I stayed 3 nights at the Gomerino. The hotel staff is absolutely fabulous. They help you in all you need instantly. The staff is 5 star, very kind professionals. The view from the roof top terrace is exceptional, the best view in Valletta. The terrace is incredible. Unfortunately the room is not reaching my expectations. It’s just very noisy. Every single foot step from above can be heard in your room. So at night and in the morning I felt very disturbed and uncomfortable because of this. I had to call reception several times to ask the above guest to keep it quiet at night. The room is very dark and just not for my taste. The bed was ok I asked a double bed but they supplied my with 2 single mattresses put together. Thank you for the staff you were fabulous.

We loved the Gomerino Hotel. A great way to stay in Valletta in comfort and boutique style. Breakfast was adequate, not amazing. Rooms were clean and maintained each day. The rooftop pool has a fantastic view of the upper gardens and canon display. Will likely stay there again if we return to Valletta

We spent 3 bad days. I think everything was bad. Decor and rooms are not nice. It wasn't comfortable. No nice views on the rooftop pool. Staff weren't freindly. At least, you have good breakfast. The best yogurt. Coffee was thick. Fruits were fresh from mother nature. I will get a 2 star.

A beautiful hotel in a great location in Valletta. It's easy to walk into the main bits of Valletta and also on a one way street which made it easy to get a taxi and also not too overwhelming. It's beautifully designed and the staff we found to be attentive friendly and kind which always makes such a difference. We were upgraded on arrival which was a nice surprise for us (as this never happens to us!) and were put in a room with a balcony near on the top floor which was really handy as it was only a quick walk up a short flight of steps to the pool area which we knew we'd be using a lot. The balcony was a beautiful touch and we really appreciated the views from here albeit a little scary being so high up. Room was well designed, enough hanging space for us and good shower facilities. I do agree with a previous comment that the air con can be a bit noisy at night. It isn't the quietest although we did both sleep well. We've stayed in similar hotels with a rooftop pool before and often found it a struggle to get a sun bed so was a bit worried but there's a decent amount of beds here so It wasn't too difficult. Only on one occasion were we not able to get one. Really relaxing vibe by the pool, low level music and the pool was a nice temperature too - very appreciated after a day sightseeing in the heat. Breakfast was great here with a menu you can choose from as well as a selection of other items too - cereals, milks, yoghurts, nuts, croissants and pastries as well as bread and hot drinks/juices provided. This was our first visit to Malta and we'd love to return. Would not hesitate to stay at the Gomerino again.
