Super 8 by Wyndham Valentine NE

I've come to expect budget-like accomodations at Super 8 yet this property exceeded my expectations. Our room was comfortable with all the in room amenities. It also had a good office chair plus a real nice lounge chair - and it was clean. Big TV too. The pool was nice and appreciated since it's 100°. Their 2 PM check in is a real plus - again because it's HOT and we're on motorcycles. Breakfast had waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy as well as the other offerings. The property is getting older and showing its age but the owners / staff are doing a great job and keeping prices very reay. My only beef (other than not having enough coffee) is our parking area is full of sand, it's kind of unsightly and dangerous for bikes.

Overpriced for location and quality; room was super musty smelling. Sheets had permanent ink pen stain which was creepy. Hot shower (thankfully) worked fine. Be prepared that breakfast closes early. Laundry machines are available near the lobby if you need them. Motel is close to a couple restaurants (don't bother with the "new" Mi Toro Mexican Restaurant; try the BBQ place which is almost next door).

Nice rooms, quiet on a Friday night, bedding and pillows clean, bed comfortable, and easy/friendly check-in late at night.

The property was OK, the room was clean and mostly up to date, the "breakfast" was good, on the overall we were satisfied, our only complaint is: the bed was VERY uncomfortable which led to a short and restless sleep. Our opinion is: the bed frame is the same type used on a futon, there is no give to them like that of a regular box spring, due to this, we were unimpressed and will probably avoid this place of lodging in future visits to this area.

This was an average hotel. reasonably quiet and clean. An example of "You get what you pay for". The complimentary breakfast was no better or no worse than other places we've stayed. The bad part was the desk clerk at check in. Apparently, they have a policy that you must declare whether you have a pet that will be staying with you in your room. This clerk asked me not once, not twice but three times if we had any pets with us. When he asked the second time, I put it down as poor memory. But, when he asked the same question for the third time, he just plain irritated me. Always a great idea to make your customer feel that you think they are a liar.
