Location is quite good. Right by the beach and lots of restaurants (priced a little on the high side), and within a 10min stroll to the tram which will take you into the old town centre in less than 30mins. It can be a little noisy at night if facing the beach as there is a nightclub not far away. Mosquitoes can be an issue but there are signs to warn you to close windows to mitigate that and staff will assist with spray if it becomes an issue. Room is basic. No iron, fridge or kettle. Sheets will be made up each day but not replaced with fresh ones. Towels will be replaced. Staff were friendly. We even received a warming greeting in Irish once they'd seen our passports which was a lovely touch. We didn't opt for the breakfast ourselves but at €8 each it is priced more competitively than local restaurants, albeit less fancy. No good bars in the immediate area. Overall would go back.

Stayed 9 days at Sol Playa. We could not have been happier! Went with my son to see Motogp race, he has not travelled much. Our room was clean, the bed and pillow very comfortable. The ocean view was spectacular. Breakfast was simple but very nourishing. Try the juices and oranges! My son really enjoyed the room and location so close to Clubs! Coffee was quite good as well coming from an espresso machine. Hotel front desk was always helpful and friendly. Price was good as well when comparing others. The towels seemed thin at first, but they were very absorbent and soft. It is hard to find fault but maybe the motion detector light on stairs need adjusting? Location on beach and minutes from downtown was so nice. If we return to Valencia, we will use the Sol Playa Hotel again. P.S. Also found out from staff that they are a very distant relative as his grandmother has same last name and from the Isle of Sky! Thank you so much, J MacLeod

On our first day we were told breakfast was included. It is very basic and not worth paying for. We were then charged 8EUR per day when we checked out. Spoke to the manager who was rude and threatened us. Unacceptable conduct. Hotel is very noisy and not very clean.

My wife and I booked a Superior Triple Sea View room for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We requested a balcony with a sea view and while we did get the sea view the balcony was only about 2 feet. We were unable to lock the patio doors and unable to lock the room door from the inside. The white walls were scuffed and stained. We had no fridge and only one chair. I tried to fill the bathroom hand basin with cold water but the rubber washer on the stopper was gone. The air con was excellent thankfully and the bathroom a good size. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The housekeepers were also excellent and came on a daily basis. The location is excellent with top staff but the rooms are a let down especially for people of an older age.

I stayed due to the circumstances of attending a wedding and I must admit that it was a success. The privileged environment gives access to a simple but very charming and functional Hotel. Spacious rooms with everything you need, except a refrigerator for my taste, and very friendly and professional staff, 100% recommended.
