O hotel não tem um serviço de contacto eficiente. Tentámos o contacto com o hotel durante horas sem sucesso. O serviço de pequeno almoço é sofrível em disponibilidade e pessoal pouco prestável e não assertivo. Os quartos são aceitáveis mas a relação qualidade preço desequilibrada. O melhor da estadia foram as vistas que são bonitas.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Quinta do Silval - the location and views are stunning, you are surrounded by vineyards rolling down into the Pinhao and Douro valleys. It is quite remote (and don't trust google maps, it might take you off road) but only 15 minutes down to Pinhao, where we enjoyed a lovely boat ride and more amazing views along the way. The small family run hotel is friendly and comfortable. A good buffet breakfast is provided with fresh orange juice and hot options. Pre-arranged dinner is available from a limited menu - simple, hearty options, such as sea bass - and snacks/drinks are available on request during the day. The pool is a real bonus - stunning setting overlooking the hills. Would definitely recommend this Quinta for a relaxing, peaceful stay (but if you are looking for life, action and proximity to amenities, this is not it!)

A family run wonderful hotel that has its own vineyards, & port/wine making facilities. Spectacular views and the hotel is clean, friendly, lovely food & the whole set up is run with a passion! Explicit tour & tasting session - highly recommend it!! Great experience

Beautiful location! With stunning views! Very friendly staff. We had a tour of the vineyard along with a wine tasting which was very informative and full of passion. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed. The food and accompanying wine were nice. Highly recommended!

The only positive aspect: apparently friendly staff. Negative aspects: cleanliness (dust under the beds; area around the dark bathtub drain,...); A lot of noise caused by the staff preparing the breakfast tables (I woke up at 00:15 with a start and at 1:30 am I was still awake because of the noise: moving furniture, the noise of cutlery, glasses, they talk loudly!) lack of bottled water in the rooms; swimming pool in need of maintenance (visibly becoming dilapidated); very poor quality/price ratio. A disappointment.

I gave a rating of 4 out of 5 because the hotel, as well as its exterior, is magnificent. The view of the Douro vineyards is breathtaking, the exteriors are magnificent. The rooms are very comfortable, very spacious, the swimming pool is not huge, but it is more than enough! There are also showers with changing rooms, everything was well equipped and very clean, The staff is very nice, but unfortunately it is non-existent! We booked dinner. As soon as we arrived for 15 people, nothing short of catastrophic! everything was reheated, meal not good for a very high rating, it ruined everything! When we went to the bill, the owner, who was very nice, realized that she had forgotten to count three cans of Ice tea on a total bill of €3,214. She then added them to the bill. I think this is not correct, given the amount we paid for the restaurant and the dramatic state of the meal!

Excellent place to stay. I can't rate this small hotel highly enough. Friendly and efficient service , fabulous food and wine and very comfortable and clean rooms and beds. The views from the hotel and terrace are spectacular over the Douro valley. We will return.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The welcome was superb, and service throughout our stay friendly, helpful and kind. It's a home from home. Food excellent. Pool very clean with such stunning views over the hills. The room was beautiful and very clean. We had a guided tour of the winery which was so interesting. it is situated in such a beautiful position. Highly recommended.

The location is very restful and pretty, and the facilities are very high quality. However, think of this as more like a family B&B than a hotel. Dinner menus aren’t written down, cuisine is homely and limited options for vegetarians. Things are a little chaotic and even a bit comedic in a Fawlty Towers kind of way. Staff are very friendly and keen to please but they would benefit from more staff to make things run more smoothly.
