Just got back from the Ritz Carlton Vail after five blissful nights, and let me tell you—they haven’t skipped a single beat in the last seven years. In fact, they might have turned the dial up. The service? Top tier. And if you’ve read my other reviews, you know I don’t throw compliments around lightly. This place is so flawless, I don’t even have a single witty complaint to offer. Not one. We rented directly from Berkshire Hathaway, which included daily maid service that kept the room spotless. And by spotless, I mean I started questioning if the maids were ninjas. The kitchen? Equipped with everything short of Gordon Ramsay himself to make a gourmet meal—but let’s be real, I wasn’t cooking. Thankfully, some of Vail’s best dining is just a short shuttle ride away. The bar staff? Beth and Kat deserve gold medals for their friendly service and killer cocktails. And the nightly live music? Absolutely terrific. Oh, and the cookies at 4 PM for the kids are apparently a local event because I’ve never seen children line up with that level of dedication. (Adults, don’t worry—we get 5 PM whiskey shots. It’s a perfectly balanced ecosystem.) The heated pool and whirlpool? Heaven after a day of skiing. And the fact that this place is somehow better than it was seven years ago? Unheard of. So much so, I’m now seriously considering buying a property here—and not just because I’m still riding the high of daily maid service and whiskey shots. Kudos, Ritz. You’ve outdone yourselves. Again.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The manager had a terrible attitude and treated us very badly. From the moment we arrived, he was rude and unhelpful. We tried to address some issues we found in the room, but he simply ignored our concerns and was even aggressive in his responses. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel before. I do not recommend this place to anyone and hope they improve their customer service in the future. His name is Zach Penland.

After coming to the ritz annually for years, we found the service for the rooms (cleaning mainly) to be not up to par. The room temp was set to heat and our bedrooms were very warm every night. The living/dining and patio were perfect and we loved the view and our condo. Be sure to ask for a fan and a humidifier. We love Vail and the Ritz—

Expected more from a Ritz for service. Front desk is not knowledgeable. Bar is rarely attended to. I never witnessed the 5 o’clock toast and the 4 o’clock cookies were not available past 4:10. Not sure why there isn’t more provided based on occupancy. Pool is not serviced. Worst part is the screaming children. Signage says no yelling and no one maintains this or adheres. Disappointing.

On property now. The service is simply incredible. The staff, from front desk to cleaning to valet is extremely accommodating and genuinely friendly. It is definitely slow season here now (seems locals call it “mud season”) but plenty to do especially if you are willing to take a ride. Vail Village is charming. Took a ride to Frisco and Breckenridge and highly recommend brows in stores and eating in Breckenridge. Many restaurants are closed but has not been a problem (yet). First rate Ritz Carlton team. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Bad bad ! I have been coming to this hotel for years and they are removing more and more gadgets and amenities! They take ages to make the room, they don't have staff, they don't give you coffee in the morning, they have stopped the water bottle service, the administration is TERRIBLE TREATMENT, in short, I think there must be better options, it is not worth what they charge.

This is an awesome property. Beautiful, wonderful staff, helpful front desk, and the rooms/condos/suites are perfectly appointed. We have such fun here as it's a brief walk to Lionshead where there are many shops, restaurants, etc. Drawback is there is no restaurant on sight as the bar serves drinks, but is usually closed for snack foods. They have a free whiskey tasting each night by the fire pit and often soft guitar musician on the patio until sundown.

What a wonderful experience. Started with a wonderful concierge heather, who worked with us pre arrival to make our stay exceptional. Greeted by the great valets who parked our cars and hauled our family of 8 stuff to our 3brm residence. We were then greeted by Max at the front desk, who made check-in a very pleasant experience. The property is what we expect at the Ritz. Having visited several, our expectations were quite high-we were not disappointed. The 5 o'clock toast was fun. The heated pool and hot whirlpools were beautifully appointed. Access to river walk was easy, and the mountains were gorgeous with snow and blue skies. The residence was amazing. Great beds in all rooms, fireplace, bathrooms, laundry and kitchen with all needed utensils. My family is looking forward to our next visit. If there was any suggestion we could offer..... maybe open the hot whirlpools to adults prior to 10 am? see y'all soon!

This is our fifth stay at this beautiful club in Lionshead. From check in to departure everything was perfect, assuring the stay we have come to enjoy at the Ritz Carlton Club. The rooms are decorated in mountain style and appointed with high end amenities. The daily housekeeping and turndown services are welcome luxuries. I always look forward to lighting a fire in the living room gas fireplace to chase away the morning chill. Vail is easily walkable; the shuttle service is available as needed. The local newspaper, waters, sunscreen, and the 3pm cookies are nice touches. But it truly is the staff who make this a 5-star review-attentive, friendly, helpful, respectful…simply wonderful.
