I don’t like comments very much, and I don’t like giving bad reviews. I always feel that running a business is not easy and I need to be merciful. But I really can’t help but complain about this hotel. First of all, the actual hotel room is completely different from the photos on the website. They are completely different places (unfortunately, I was in a hurry and forgot to take pictures). Secondly, both the hardware facilities and the overall space comfort in the room are extremely poor, and there are numerous problems, big and small. For example: when entering the room, there was half a kettle of water left in the kettle; the height of the bathroom was 10 centimeters higher than the room, so I almost tripped; the room had no air conditioning and was stuffy and hot; the lights were dim; the basin faucet It was not fixed and rickety; although the room was equipped with a hair dryer, there was no working socket, so I could only sleep with wet hair after washing my hair at night, and so on. If it weren't for the fact that I checked into this hotel very late, I really wanted to check out right away. This kind of hotel actually charges 1,000+, which is really the lowest value for money. Hope it helps other tourists, check out the others

We paid extra to get a room with a view and air conditioning . The rooms were clean and new , comfortable beds and I loved the space where you could unpack your case . They had nice touches like toothbrush and slippers . The breakfast was good, fruit, eggs and a Sri Lanka delicacy . I loved how it was a short trip to town and the cafes - it was a steep walk . When the Infiniti pool is finished on November it will be stunning . But the view of Ella rock and Lityle Adam’s peak was exceptional. The staff were so willing to help and attentive . Totally recommend staying here

A beautiful hotel with amazing views and rooms, staff are very helpful and welcoming, had an amazing time here would highly recommend
The hill up to the property is very steep and long but you can get a tuk tuk up for a very small price and walking down is fine

Lovely views, clean and modern hotel. Really good. However, they mixed up our dates (despite email confirmation months in advance with the manager) so we had to leave after 2 days, couldn’t stay a 3rd night. A real pain. And no attempt to help - no late check out even until 1pm, didn’t help find a taxi. Breakfast ok. So nice hotel, shame about the staff

Wunderschönes Hotel mit Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge! Von Anfang an der perfekte Service, bekamen nach unserer 7,5 stündigen Zugfahrt einen Erfrischungsdrink und ein feuchtes Handtuch zum etwas frisch machen. Bei der Zimmerübergabe wurde uns alles ausführlich erklärt und sogar die umliegenden Berge erklärt! Das Frühstück war super gut und super viel! Wir würden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen!!!!

Great views from the bedroom. Very new, very clean. Staff tripping over themselves to be helpful. Walking distance to central Ella ( albeit uphill on return!). Bathroom just a couple of feet too small, shower water pours under the sliding door making the bathroom floor quite wet. Unless you have the room door open along with the patio doors, there is no through breeze. The room gets quite stuffy even with patio doors fully open necessitating the aircon - which I hate. Otherwise perfect for a couple of nights.

Was given one of their newly renovated room with balcony which offers amazing view of the Ella Rock and the Little Adam’s peak. A 5 minutes walk you can reach the town centre for dinner Was told to leave the sink tap on for at least 5 minutes, then you should have hot water for your shower I had the tap running for 10 minutes, not only the water was not hot, it was muddy yellowish (I know it was pouring that day but it was disgusting) couldn’t bother asking for help as it was already late at night when I figure this out. Left the next morning and went straight to my next lodge. Breakfast was just so-so the only positive thing was the view

Lovely hotel in fantastic location with spectacular views. Hotel Onrock was a superb base for the Ella leg of our holiday. The staff went out of their way to look after us, with a special mention for Kavindu. A highly recommended hotel for your stay, albeit with the caution that it sits at the top of a steep incline which was a challenge for tuk tuks.
