During the last days of August '23, my wife and I were staying at the Hostal Malvinas, in the city of Ushuaia. The idea of ​​visiting the southernmost city of our country again was to carry out activities in the snow. Which several years ago were postponed in other tourism sectors, due to lack of the vital element "snow". Once air transportation was defined, the next thing was to look for accommodation. We had not set a condition that it be central, and with a cost in line with our economic possibilities. It was an easy task for us. Although there are many places to stay in the central area, the lack of availability for the chosen date conspired with our search. We patiently continued searching, we had three accommodations to check out. Since we stopped processing our trips through agencies, we have begun to take the opinion of travelers into account for our decisions. Discarding those, which in my opinion did not contribute to qualifying a place. Nowadays, technological means are very useful for searches. We had before our eyes a hostel that met the conditions according to our search, it was centrally located, it had a very good rating from specialized pages and extremely favorable opinions. Through a WhatsApp contact, they informed me that they had availability for the days we were going to be in Ushuaia and with a price according to our possibilities. I made the reservation, and on 8/26 in the afternoon, we were entering the Hostal Malvinas. We were welcomed by a friendly young and very attentive receptionist. The entry process was very quick, it was only necessary to pay the rest of the days of stay, which was previously agreed (the reservation was with the payment of one day of stay). The assigned room is on the ground floor. With a double bed, as we had requested. Everything very neat, with a balanced draft heater. A closet, of good dimensions. The bathroom with everything you need. It has a safe. And the furniture is complemented, with a small table and a chair. On top of that, an electric kettle, with a box containing envelopes with different infusions. There is wi-fi throughout the hostel. Breakfast, which is included in the cost, is served in shifts, which is agreed with the reception. It is buffet style, very complete, and fully satisfied our needs. In the common areas, everything was clean, orderly and decorated with good taste. Over time I learned, both in the work environment in which I worked, and in the different places that God gave us the opportunity to visit, that the details are what make the differences.
