I had a great experience at this hotel! The room was nice and clean, they supplied new water bottles every day and the bathroom was modern and nice. The beds were comfortable. The curtains blocked most of the light from the window in the morning. I could hear noise outside the room sometimes but it didn’t disturb my sleep. The staff were very helpful and kind. Even though they didn’t speak much English and I don’t speak Chinese or Uyghur, we communicated using my translator app. The restaurant downstairs looked excellent too but I did not eat there.

I booked a single room, so the room is relatively small, but it is very clean and everything is good. The hotel is right inside the International Grand Bazaar, so you can reach the Grand Bazaar as soon as you go out. The hotel does not have breakfast, and there are delicious food all around. A very unique hotel. I wanted to stay for two more days, but unfortunately it was full today, so I had to find another one.

I was travelling with friends but decided to stay on a hostel instead of a hotel with them to save a bit of money. This hostel is excellent value for money. The beds are comfortable and AC is available. The bedding was fresh and clean. You are provided with lockers to keep your belongings safe. The hostel provides toothbrushes & toothpaste as well as a small disposable towel, a bigger proper towel would be better but it does the job. A comb is also provided. Shower gel and shampoo are provided in the showers. The toilets are mostly squat toilets which are standard in China but there is one western style toilet available. There is laundry facilities and a water dispenser. The hostel also has its own bar. The WiFi is also good. The receptionists are very helpful and communication was a non-issue as they used a translator app when necessary. It’s a great way to meet new people while travelling. The hostel is in a good location, the area has a good atmosphere and it is very close to a metro station. I visited most of the tourist spots in Urumqi apart from 红山 because I didn’t have time. The Xinjiang Museum was one of the highlights. I also did a day trip to Turpan while in Urumqi. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

The facilities look good, but the actual focus is not in place; The phone in the new room is broken, the other party can't hear my voice when I call, and I need to go downstairs to the front desk every time I need something. It happened to be the handover time of the front desk, and the front desk who received me left before finishing it, and I was stood up for several hours. Shower room: The water volume in the shower room is enough, but the drainage volume is much less than the water volume of the shower head, resulting in the waste water not being able to be drained out, and water accumulated under the feet, which is quite disgusting. Service: The towel is a little wet. Because of the phone failure, I went down to the front desk to ask for a replacement. Then I waited for a long time and no one came, so I went down to the front desk again. The towel I finally got was a foot pad... Can't you tell the difference between the towel and the foot pad?
