Keyonna Beach - All Inclusive - Couples Only

This resort was excellent! Food was delicious and fresh. Best part of the stay was the resort staff-very friendly and catered to all our wants and needs. To mention a few of them are Tevin, Gerri-Lee, Luela, and Joshua. Cleaning service and kitchen staff were terrific as well. Thank you to everyone at Keyonna for making us feel like family!

2024 Review If you don’t like long reviews, you may want to skip this one. This is our 2nd visit to Keyonna. I personally like thorough reviews when making such a costly decision. Really, everything is about the same as my 2021 review, but some different names to recognize along with 2 bad experiences. (I originally had my 2021 review at the bottom, but had to take it out because I went over the limit). I am not a writer, but I love to write. :-) I can honestly say, the trip was almost as magical as the first time around (our honeymoon). Everything was just how we remembered it. It was so great to see a few familiar faces. From my con list in 2021, they listened to #1. Our bathroom had a light up, retractable mirror. I was SO happy about that. On con #2, we did have a “congrats on your nuptials” card in the room, when we were there for my husband’s birthday/early Anniversary. Not a big deal. We got the most amazing room, so we had nothing to complain about. The first trip (our honeymoon) they had the wrong initials on the bed. Also, not a big deal, because we landed the room I had been dreaming about. This time, we stayed on the new end of the resort, (#48) and those cottages were amazing. I love how they are elevated, giving you even more of a view of the ocean. The week before arrival, we received an email asking about our mini bar preferences, etc. I put in the notes “we would like a room that doesn’t have foliage blocking the ocean from the plunge pool”. I don’t know if it was a coincidence that we got that, but luckily, we had nothing blocking our view. I have seen some pictures where people are looking at bushes from the plunge pool. We wanted to look out into the ocean. With that being said, I don’t think there’s any “bad” room at Keyonna. I have read a lot of complaints about the service being too slow at breakfast and dinner. We stayed 9 nights, and there was only one night where we had to wait longer than usual. I am sure like any business; they are sometimes short staffed. We were in paradise and had the company of each other. We really didn’t care about waiting a little longer. 8 of the 9 nights were perfect timing. And we never waited long for breakfast or lunch. Just like the first time, the food was cooked to perfection and the perfect proportions. Not to mention, you have Grill Master Jevaughn starting at 10 am. Boy did we miss his grilling over the few years we were gone. He’s amazing, personality, AND grilling. Along with Jevaughn, I MUST recognize the amazing staff we had the honor of spending the majority of our 9 nights, 8 days with. And one person, sadly, not so pleasant and may make us consider a different resort. - Tevin - Our beach service through most of the trip. He was on point with the timing. Seems like we would take our last sip, and here he came with fresh drinks. We were able to enjoy stories and share our own with him to build a nice friendship. My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful two weeks staying at the delightful and relaxing Keyonna Beach Resort. We both consider it one of the best, relaxing holidays we have taken together and I would give this place 6 out of 5 if I could. As with all of these kinds of trip, it is the staff that make the difference and I can say that every single person, from front-desk, to wait staff, to grounds and housekeeping were happy, friendly and helpful. My wife and I are fully aware that hospitality is not always the least stressful of jobs, but the Keyonna team always seemed happy and available to help. I have some special mentions to make which I will add to the end of this review but I do want to stress how welcome and comfortable everybody on the team made us feel. Antigua is a stunning Island. Truly one of the world's most beautiful places, and if you are contemplating a first time trip, I promise that you are in for a treat. If you have ever dreamt of a tropical island, you have dreamt of Antigua. White sand, dark blue sea, light blue sky and lush green foliage, all around. A little reflection of heaven, floating in the Caribbean Sea. Keyonna is a small, personal, couples resort on the south west corner of the Island, as short drive from the airport. The resort contains a relatively small number of rooms which are spread out across winding paths that lead their way through dense green and flowering flora. A cozy but ample restaurant exists in the main building to serve as the focal point for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a beach grill is open most of the day for snacks. The bar serves drinks and cocktails and my wife would recommend the eponymous 'Keyonna Beach' cocktail, made with coconut rum and fruit juice. My recommendation would be the rum punch. A healthy dose of Caribbean rum with a nice, sour, fruity kick. We stayed in a cottage room with a private plunge pool, which I strongly recommend you consider if budget allows. It is a truly luxurious experience to recline on your own private patio with a cooling dunk in the water only a few steps away. The room itself consisted of a large bedroom containing a super-kingsize four poster bed with mosquito netting. An entryway with a minibar that was restocked daily to order (provided during online check in), with both alcoholic and soft-drinks. There was a large double bathroom and double outside shower (with modesty screening all around of course). The room was, as described, "rustic", not all fixtures and fittings were presented perfectly, but this feels very much by design. It was entirely possible to allow yourself to drift into Robinson Crusoe fantasies which would be harder to reach cocooned in a perfectly angular, hermetically-sealed, concrete box. The beach, which was a 2 minute stroll from our room, is populated with beach beds and sun loungers which are allocated to each room so there is no concern about missing out. One of the best relaxing trips I've ever taken. Everything was good except the mosquitoes and bugs but thats just nature. But resort itself was great stay. Food was good. Dinner foods was okay. If Dinner food is like breakfast and lunch than I would be extra happy.

We had an amazing honeymoon at Keyonna Beach. The room, staff, food and drinks were all exceptional, and the hotel is located on one of the best beaches on the island. If you want a special place for a romantic getaway I couldn’t recommend Keyonna more highly. We hope to be back soon!

We have just returned from our honeymoon which we partly spent at Keyonna Beach. Apart from being caught up in a tropical storm on the Tuesday our time at Keyonna Beach was wonderful. The staff are so very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make things very special for their guests. The food was very good as was the drink selection. The management of staff under Sendy-Ann help every guest to feel special and valued, and I can't rate them highly enough. Our only possibly negative observation is that the photos on the resort website and Facebook page must be very out of date as there has been significant beach erosion since they were taken, further compounded by the storm we experienced. This means that the cottages and their exposure to the beach is quite different to what is shown in the photos and there are a number of exposed structures (broken walls and masonry) on the beach which haven't been addressed by the hotel owner and spoil the otherwise idyllic views. The hotel owner is going to have to invest significantly in getting the beach back to it's ideal state post the recent storm. These things are small in significance to us and didn't spoil our trip in anyway but it would be worth the hotel updating their media.

This resort could not have been better, everything was great from the staff, to the rooms, the food etc! Private beach cabana with lounge chairs. Beach towels are provided along with reusable water bottles in the room. Highly recommend this resort or anyone considering!!

I tend to rate my stays based off expectations. Keyonna Beach far surpassed these. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dovaughn was wonderful and tended to our every need on the beach. Hensley was a great chef and prepared our floating canapé. The rooms are rustic, comfortable, and well cooled. Insect netting was available on the beds. The personal plunge pool was great to cool off and take a break from the beach. We enjoyed the privacy of how the property and individual rooms were set up. Depending on the season, the insects can be annoying, but that can be expected at any tropical location. The resort provides bug spray in your room if you need to use it. The tables have fly-away devices to keep flies from your food. All of our meals were excellent. I would recommend getting a canapé for lunch at least once and the VIP rooms are closer to the restaurant and offer both a view and privacy.
