Location: Far away from JR but very close to the bus terminal, only 5 minutes away. And the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off services at the bus terminal, bus transfer station and JR, so it is not a problem.
Facilities: Since the hotel has a bit of history, it is relatively dilapidated, but the facilities are sufficient, except for the relatively simple equipment in the room. Many parts of the old place are fading and peeling. After all, it has been some time since the last renovation.
Food: I booked a hotel room and two meals. Dinner and breakfast were all buffet style. If I chose the most basic set meal, there was no seafood provided. Most of them are Japanese food, the taste is good, and the selection is normal. The surprising thing is that each restaurant provides a small stove and steamer, which can cook and steam food by yourself, but there are not many choices, and there is only a small candle provided for heating. Slow and will be used up quickly, no additional service is provided.
Service: First of all, the pick-up service is very considerate. Before departure, we had to take a direct bus from Fukuoka Airport to Ureshino, which only took 45 minutes. I was already worried that I would not be able to catch the bus, which would affect the check-in time, and I was also worried that I would not be able to catch the last pick-up service (8pm). I kept in contact with the hotel and provided suggestions and solutions, which was very thoughtful. I also emailed the hotel about my situation on the way to the bus, and the hotel immediately reminded me of the correct drop-off point and asked the pick-up and drop-off staff to pick me up at that location (because I had chosen another location to reserve the pick-up service at the beginning). It was already dark after getting off the bus, but the staff kept waiting and came up to confirm that they were considerate.
The counter staff are also considerate and courteous; but the restaurant staff are a little weak in comparison. They don't speak English. I understand it very well, but it seems that the stove for cooking food needs a lighter. It is not easy to find a lighter. When I asked the staff to get it, I didn't want to ignore it. Maybe it's because it's too busy, after all, there are only 2-3 employees. Instead, it is often the Japanese travelers next to me who remind me.
Overall: There is a hotel in Ureshino that provides one bed and two meals. This one is considered to be more cost-effective. Other hotels are more expensive and may have higher quality, but this one is worth the price, location and shuttle service. Finally, the yukata in the hotel is the cutest and most beautiful I have ever used in different places in Japan, which made me fall in love with yukata.

This time when I arrived in Saga, I stayed at Ureshino Onsen Hotel ~ Daishoya, which was a really great experience. The hotel includes breakfast and dinner, and the ingredients are fresh and delicious, and different food is provided every day. There are two hot springs in the hotel, one is relatively large, and the other is underground, which is smaller in scale, but looking out into the stream, there are fat koi fish swimming around, which is very cute [snickering]. Shiiba Sanso on the mountain is the sister hotel of Daishoya, so guests staying at Daishoya can enjoy a half-hour pick-up service to go to the mountain to soak in the hot spring for free. Facing the mountains, woods, and streams, soaking in the hot springs and drinking ice water is really a different kind of fun. A very happy accommodation experience

After booking the hotel, I was hesitant and worried that it would be bad. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel! Everything is better than expected ^_^Small but beautiful! The front desk staff are friendly and attentive. There was a young man from China at the front desk who gave a detailed introduction to the hotel facilities, dinner reservation times and some sightseeing suggestions in Chinese. On Chinese New Year's Eve, I met a Japanese lady at the hotel front desk (who spoke very fluent English) who gave guests free drinks to celebrate the New Year, which made people feel cordial and warm. There are few people in the hotel's hot springs and they are very clean. Basically every time I go, the restaurant is reserved;) Dinner is a major feature of the hotel and worth experiencing. Although the ingredients don't look amazing, they are actually carefully prepared and high-quality ingredients. The cooking method is not very flashy, which is probably the characteristic of Ureshino. I ate every meal until I couldn't finish it. The Saga beef melts in your mouth, the tiny pufferfish is extremely delicious, the crabs are sweet and plump...^_^The soup tofu for breakfast is soft, glutinous and smooth in the mouth, without any beany smell, and the rich bean aroma is unforgettable.
The appearance picture of the hotel on Ctrip’s official website is different from the actual one! This is actually the first photo I took of this! Much better than what is shown on the official website! Best hotel for traveling with parents!

One of the few tall buildings in the town, equipped with rooftop indoor and outdoor onsen. Walkable distance to places around town.

A hot spring hotel friendly to solo travelers. The lady at the front desk wrote handwritten travel guide recommendations. You can make a reservation for the hot spring house once a day. It's really a beauty soup. My skin feels slippery after running. The town is not big, but it is very relaxing if you don’t do anything. Will go again if I have the chance. There is a lot of vinyl in the lounge on the first floor, and the owner seems to have good music taste. It’s nice to listen to music and drink some good wine at night.

This time I booked Yoshidaya's villa. The interiors of the four villas all have different designs. The two floors are hot springs, bathrooms and living rooms downstairs. The upstairs is a rest bed and a small study room, because there is no toilet upstairs. Not suitable for elderly people.
Among the four villas, it is recommended to avoid choosing Orikawa. The beds on the upper floor are just opposite the stairs, which will be more dangerous if you accidentally fall.

Two people stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was spacious enough.
I booked on Ctrip 20 days in advance. Considering the rainy season and the room price of 3.4K/night, I specifically consulted the customer service online to ask if the hotel provides train station/bus station pick-up service. The customer service replied: No. On the day of check-in on 2024-6/22, it rained continuously in the local area. I dragged my backpack and suitcase in the rain and fumbled to the hotel entrance. The experience was very poor. When I asked the front desk and learned that there was a shuttle bus pick-up service at Ureshino Train Station, I suddenly felt that the platform lacked after-sales information and follow-up services, which was quite regrettable...

From the moment you enter the hotel lobby, you feel the most expected Japanese-style exquisite and considerate service. The various decorations and landscaping in the hotel are elegant and pleasing to the eye. The welcome drinks, souvenir shop, and library tea shop are all impressive. f Our room is a Japanese-style room, which is spacious and well-equipped. It comes with a tea set and a full jar of Ureshino tea, and an independent and spacious cypress bathtub. Everything you look at makes you feel happy. We also used the restaurant’s tofu hot pot set menu, which was both delicious and unique. The special tofu ice cream is a must-try. The hotel's breakfast is buffet style and very rich. Finally, the hotel can also arrange to take guests to the JR Shinkansen station (Urishino Onsen Station) for free, which is a perfect end to the trip.
Comfortable spaces and warm hospitality welcome guests to Fairfield by Marriott Saga Ureshino Onsen. We are conveniently located adjacent to Michi-no-Eki Ureshino Maruku in Ureshino Onsen whose popularity as a destination has grown with the opening of the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen Line. This onsen or hot spring resort is counted among Japans three best hot springs for beautiful skin, and it invites visitors to sample its many spas, which include the Seibold-no-yu public bathhouse and numerous footbaths. Ureshino Onsen Yudofu or hot tofu, made using the hot waters of Ureshino's hot springs, is deliciously runny and smooth. Ureshino Cha or tea, which is grown in the clear waters and pristine air of the misty Ureshino basin, can be tried in beverages and sweets throughout the region. There is no restaurant on site so that you can enjoy nearby dining options and use the hotel as a base to explore surroundings. Please note that our hotel does not have hot spring facilities.

The hotel is big enough, has free parking, and is very close to the station. When checking in, there were no online reviews that said the service was so good. When checking out, the staff was helpful in making reservations for the hot springs.
Kuchikomi rating 5.0 as of now! "Shiiba no yu" is the most spacious open-air bath in West Kyushu area.

I had been meaning to go there someday because of its reputation. This time I got the chance and went.
Due to budget issues, I booked the most basic room.
The overall exterior facilities and scenery were good, but... I guess it was because of the rainy season, fog, and humid weather that lasted for several days...
The room we were assigned had a dingy smell coming from the basement.
I booked a night's stay...
The geographical location of the ryokan (in the lush mountains), the uniqueness of our room (the structure is very difficult to ventilate), the weather...
Considering this, I just stayed with it. I turned on the dehumidifier hard... but maybe because I had high expectations, I kept feeling disappointed.
Maybe it's just my nose being sensitive...
Except for the room condition, the hot springs, meals, and the friendliness of the staff were very good.
Despite its reputation as the best ryokan in Ureshino, the room management was somewhat disappointing.
Wouldn't that be the case for rooms on higher levels?

YYiuVery delicious breakfast and dinner. But it is without outdoor onsen.
MMINGYEUNGDelightful and unique! Easy to find, with a warm welcome and a lovely, nostalgic vibe. The private onsen with wonderful water was a highlight. Our renovated room was beautifully appointed, with a private bath and lovely details. We also savored a spectacular feast of Saga beef and other fine traditional meals. The staff's genuine kindness, including arranging a special gift, was much appreciated. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserA slippery floor of the lobby and the hotel's antique furniture is nice. What, however, it is expecting big fault. Rooms (western twin room) For Sunny carpets and beds in the damp and there I met a cockroach on the sink in the evening. I did not boncheok and the next morning I slept just turns out under belongings. By booking includes breakfast and dinner, I expected a great French meal The evening was provided by 'Montestella' La movement of the village. Inde Italian restaurant staff are friendly, but I lack the skill. Taste and zest commonplace. Breakfast was provided on the second floor of the hotel was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. If you ate a good dinner, euryeonman Is not see where the guests write down operations.
GGuest UserIt was very good.
It was so nice to have a Song Ying service. I went to Nagasaki on the day of my stay, but I took me to Ureshino Onsen Station and came back to pick me up. At the front desk, you also gave us detailed information about Shinkansen time and all kinds of information. The staff are very friendly.
As a welcome dessert, a simple snack made of chocolate and strawberries is served in a cool box, and my name is written on the lid of the box with chocolate. It's not a birthday, but I felt like I had a birthday service.
It was a tatami room, and dinner was mainly sagagyu sukiyaki for Kaiseki dishes in the room. I ate it.
Breakfast was a set meal prepared on the second floor, and this was delicious. Especially hot spring tofu is a must.
There is a simple snack bar in the lobby, and the sweets are delicious. You can enjoy beer and highball for free at night.
There are indoor baths and open-air baths on the top floor, and the hot spring water is good. I stayed at another ryokan the day before, but I felt that the water was much more slippery than that, and I used it as it was. There's ice cream next to the hot spring, which is quite delicious.
You can leave your luggage before/after check-in. When I went, I gave rice as a gift when I checked out as a gift to commemorate the first anniversary of the opening of the Shinkansen at Ureshino Onsen Station. Thank you for the saga fat, not only saga gyu, but also the delicious rice.
It was a very satisfying stay in many ways. I'll go again.
CCHINATSU3849I had no travel plan in Ureshino, but I had no choice but to book a stay in Ureshino because all the hotels around Takeo Onsen were full.
It was already night when I arrived, but Yoko baked bread, got fruit and honey, finished dinner, and the bed was soft and I slept soundly.
I also got a book and CD written by Yoko's husband as a gift.
He also introduced me to the walking path of Ureshino and spent a good half day in Ureshino. The highway bus to Hakata also sent me the information that Yoko taught me and the bus center.
Color 々 Thank you ♪♪♪
Ggeorge2527A long-established hot spring hotel, the one-stop-and-two meals are delicious and have the feel of kaiseki cuisine. The hot springs include an underground floor and an open-air hot spring on the 9th floor. The century-old hot spring is well-deserved and highly recommended.
GGuest UserThis ryokan is well located and is run by very nice people who represent the true Japanese hospitality - attentive and warm while staying effective and professional. However, the ryokan infra really needs refurbishing. It felt like we were stuck in the 80s... I mean, it must have been a grand place back then but one would think that no renovation or changes has been done to it since. Old carpets and wallpapers, lighting etc. Someone should invest in this place and do it up! There is however another modern-looking hotel across the river that bears the same hotel logo. Maybe they spent all their capital there? The room there apparently are western style though, which is a shame because the japanese style rooms in this one are kinda nice- original for foreign travellers like us.
The service, I must say, is world class. They were so nice to cancel the other booking I made (I double booked accidentally) upon confirming with me as soon as we arrived (we managed to communicate despite the language barrier as they hardy speak any English). Would not mind staying there again next time, if they refurbished the place.
KKANGThe location is a bit closer to the entrance of Ureshino Onsen Village, but it is a small town, so you can find it on Google Map.
There is a large supermarket within 5 minutes.
Quiet room with river view and trees...
If you want al heal, it is strongly recommended:)
The boss has good English and he has no problems in communication. Very kind and considerate :)
The room I was tied to was a spacious room with a bed and a bedroom with a bed, separated from the tatami space.
The best is the private open-air bath and mist sauna in the room!
I can enjoy the hot springs anytime, and the water quality is very good! The facilities are very adequate and the towels are enough.
6 years old, my son and her mother are 200% satisfied! ! !
Next time I go to Ureshino, I will be back! :)
YYIThis hotel has a history of 130 years. There is an indoor and outdoor pool for girls, and one for boys outdoors. There is no private soup in the old hotel.
The boss opened a new restaurant opposite the hotel. It was opened on the day we arrived. You can make reservations for the private soup in the new restaurant. Fortunately, the enthusiastic boss took us around. It turned out that the private soup in the new hall is just a big wooden barrel! The ground floor of the new building is used as a guest house, and the second floor is the home of the boss’s daughter. I personally feel that it is more traditional stone masonry.
The skin of the hot spring blisters is very slippery. After returning to Shanghai, my friends said that my skin is in good condition, haha
When we left, the owner and his wife went out to see them off in person, a very humane shop!
I made a reservation after reviewing the guest’s comments that his meal is very good. Sure enough, the dinner and breakfast were very good, with Saga Wagyu beef for dinner and tofu soup for breakfast! Very full and full~~
