This is a good resort with easy access from the highway. The rooms are of a good standard. Water pressure was a bit low, so having a shower could have been a better experience. Chef Issiah prepared a good dinner and breakfast meal. The resort had plenty of different birdlife which was interesting to see.

We had a very good stay at Sandai resort. The staff was attentive and very friendly, especially Vincent, who did everything possible to ensure we had a good time. The rooms, although basic, were clean and confortable, with airco, which is a big advantage . Abundant breakfast,very good dinner and snacks available throughout the day. The garden is a paradise for birdwatchers, and the pool is great. We definitely recommend!

We had a very good stay at Sandai resort. The staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and confortable. The meals were very good and fresh. The rapport quality/price is good. There is a nice garden with lots of bunnies, a pool and a restaurant. The lake is quite close. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you

This resort was originally 4 blocks from waterfront but now, due to recent flooding, is only 1 block from waterfront. What were originally waterfront resorts, the town school, hospital, many businesses and homes have been destroyed by flood. We were the only guests at Sandai during our 2 nights there. It is in a great location for bird walks and birding on the lake. Our local birding guides were knowledgeable and very helpful. The Sandai cottages are old but clean. Furnishings are old, worn, and sparse, but clean. Pool was clean and nice. Resort staff were friendly, attentive and very responsive. The chef checked in with us after every meal. Minimal variety, most likely due to lack of other guests. The whole area is suffering greatly from the double wammy of flooding and COVID. We were at first dismayed by the facilities. But the staff won us over and we ended up appreciating them and the place.

My friend and I (two female travellers from Canada) want to thank all the staff at Sandai Resort - warm, responsive, and open. Chef Isaiah customized all our food according to our preferences - we ate delicious fish, curried lentils, sukumawiki, cabbage, ugali, and chapatis - none of which were on the menu, but just ask :). Vincent at the front desk always checked in to make sure we had what we needed. John the proprietor came by to chat with us, and insisted on giving us perfectly ripe mangoes. Although the rooms are not fancy, they are clean. You will enjoy a great boat ride looking at birds and crocodiles, and a nature walk through the bottom of the Rift Valley
