The Oasis

Excellent staff and breakfast. It was a pity that the gym and the pool was closed due to remodelations. At bussy ours sometimes is hard to find a parking spot. Good location next to restaurants (Proteas Hotel, Red Ox and Hennie´s) and supermarkets (Checkers). Excellent bed and quite hotel, ideal get a nice rest.

During my stay, I found that the hotel staff seemed inexperienced, which adversely affected the quality of service. The arrangement for guests to dine at the nearby Spar using a voucher was also inconvenient and poorly managed. In one instance, I had planned to have dinner at the Protea Hotel, but when I arrived at the designated time, I discovered that the kitchen staff were already leaving. This meant that I was forced to leave before the scheduled dining hours, resulting in a very unsatisfactory dining experience.

Friendly, efficient Check in and Out- Great Overnight and maybe 2 nights stayover. Just caution, the echo from the main street outside, is heard in the rooms, but that didn't bother us.

The staff reception was very warm.Checkin and checkout was smooth, and they packed our breakfast to go as we left early. They were kind enough to upgrade our booking for free by giving us an extra room since we were with children.Upington has a lot of hotels and lodges but I’m so glad we chose this one. Pitty we stayed only 1 night as we were on transit to Capetown,would have loved to stay longer.
