We decided to give this hotel a second try after they screwed us in January, 2020, by telling us they had no record of a reservation made the previous November. They are pet friendly and near family, which is why we gave them a 2nd chance. We arrived Friday night, January 20th, around 8:00 pm, and our first glitch was the light in the entrance to the room was one of those LED lights that didn’t light up at all, even after several minutes. We had to get a regular light bulb from the front desk and move furniture to screw it in. The pet friendly rooms are on the 3rd floor, and there is a large fenced in area to take the dogs outside to, to do their business. Unfortunately, there is NO LIGHTING at night and I stepped in other dog’s poop on both shoes. I had to take my shoes to the lobby and ask for a utility sink and brush to use to clean them off. The manager on duty directed me to the first floor Ladies Room and gave me a toilet brush; ycch! Saturday night I opted to walk our dogs out to the grass by the parking lot since there were lights in that area. Unfortunately, it wasn’t lit well enough because I again stepped in dog poop and had to clean my shoes in the same bathroom, which hadn’t been cleaned since I was there on Friday night! Also, litter dotted the parking lot area and made it very unsightly… The room itself had a comfortable king size bed, and had some signs of being renovated: there was vinyl plank flooring and the bathroom looked like it had been re-done. Unfortunately, the shower water pressure was horrible and the towels were small and of low quality. We were supplied one hand towel, two washcloths, two bath towels, and one bath mat. The shower curtain barely touched the top of the bathtub. On Saturday morning I asked for an extra bath towel from Housekeeping. They took our hand towel and only gave us two clean bath towels, two clean washcloths, and one bath mat! No extra bath towel. The refrigerator worked, but there was a noticeable gap on the door, so there was frosting all over the shelving. The room came with Keurig, and the coffee pods produced delicious coffee. Breakfast was pretty horrible. The eggs had to have been re-constituted and the super salty bacon was paper thin. They did offer small juuices, yogurts, cereals, bread and english muffins to toast (with an excellent toaster). Would we stay there again? If it was the only choice that was pet friendly and near our family….
