I would give zero stars if I could. Honestly how this retreat is described as luxury amazes me. It was not clearly stated it is quite literally open which in over 30 degrees humidity with one small fan was nothing short of unbearable. You can barely see in the rooms the lighting is so dim. And as per it being open the bugs were everywhere. Lizards on the ceiling, dead flies in the bath, red ants all over our balcony. A chipmunk was running in and our stealing the stuffing from a pillow- i barely slept a wink incase I woke up surrounded (yes the net and the plug ins dont do very much). We were then forced awake at 4am with a loud call to prayer so I am unsure how anyone can find this relaxing. Quite honestly it was one of the most expensive places we had booked to stay and it was beyond disappointing it was appauling. As others stated the 'free tuk tuk' service is a lie as it is only to turtle beach which has nothing there and is the same distance to unawatunu. As we were in an awkward conversation with the manager about this awful supposed 'free' tuk tuk service we were surrounded by armed guards which honestly felt anything other than safe and relaxing. We honestly stayed one night to give it a go and were quite willing to be polite and not slate them here because we were told we could have a one night refund as we did just assume it was not our thing. Refund was apparently issued the end of March and it is now the end of July and now its 'rejected by the bank'. We will be taking it up with our bank with email proof from them they agree the refund. The worst service I have ever experienced and as far from luxury as it gets. Considering the cost in comparison to beautiful other accommodation in Sri Lanka this is criminal and please spend your money at a better and more honest establishment.

There’s also a complimentary tuk-tuk service to the beach — very convenient! It’s incredibly peaceful and private — perfect for disconnecting from the busy world. The staff are true professionals: warm, attentive, and always ready to help. This is a serene, harmonious retreat — ideal for recharging and reconnecting with yourself. The unique design, comfort, and deep connection with nature make Kaju Green a true oasis. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the hustle and reset in a lush green dream.
