The resort has good facilities although there is no longer access to the nature reserve. The rooms are dated. Bath tubs seem to be from the 1990s. Furthermore, there are several rules and restriction’s about use of facilities, visitors and room allocation which are subject to management’s discretion. Some rules are enforced by smooth talking security guards who can ‘help you avoid a hefty fine’ for a small service fee. I understand the importance of rules in running a large resort however leaving their enforcement to the discretion of ****** is even more dangerous.

Could not sleep - Bad Mattresses The apartment was clean but the actual beds were disgusting . They were like sleeping on a plank of wood . If one cannot sleep then the you have a terribble night . Paying good money to sleep on a hard piece of wood . This hotel needs to invest in comfortablw beds otherwise they should close down

Awesome stay Our stay at UC was excellent - reception was extremely accomodating as we move 3 to 3 different units during our stay and we were asked to stay in the unit unit the next one was ready......great service ...loved it

Well worth it. Our stay was only an overnight stay from our trip overseas. We arrived late evening and left early the next morning, and hence being tired we could not make a good judgment. However, the unite was clean, the facilities were good, and we had a comfortable night's sleep. Our book in was easy and the staff were helpful and very friendly, and the parking facilities were good..

Although the resort is not situated on the beachfront, it is a lovely place for a seaside holiday. It is a lovely, quiet resort, one road back and a very short walk from the beach. However, what we appreciated most was the quality of the linen and the towels, the free WIFI and air-conditioning. The staff are friendly and helpful. The patios are a great size and the units are comfortable. There is lots to do at the resort and they don't charge for every little thing. They have a steam room, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, climbing wall and putt-putt plus a games room etc.. The spa is well priced which was a lovely surprise. There is a great braai area, pool and upper deck with fabulous views. This is a wonderful place for families with children. It's safe and out of the way, tucked in at the end of lagoon drive, behind Breakers hotel. The gardens are lovely too. We enjoyed our stay.

Please check with the resort prior to checking in as I had a problem. My booking was not reflected on the system although I had confirmation of my booking and proof of payment. This caused a delay and I had a long wait before given a room which was under maintenance. There was paint fumes in the room which I complained to Manager and the receptionist. The reply I received was that there was no other rooms availablle for my stay and it was not reflected on their system. I was very disappinted with the service, I expected alot better. The fumes are a health risk to me and my family and this is not acceptable to provide accommodation for a holiday resort if the booking system is not upgraded accordingly. This was suppose to be a birthday celebration weekend for my family member and I had no choice but to stay in the room with aircons on, fan and windows and doors open for fresh air and the fumes to escape out of the room. The facilities are great but poor booking system.
