GGuest UserThis time, I went to Inner Mongolia with my parents-in-law and my husband. Although they are picky, they also liked it here and are thinking of coming back next year. The room was very clean and cozy, and there were free Mongolian costumes provided for taking photos. The hostess was kind and tasteful, so we extended our stay. Outside the B&B is a vast grassland, with herds of cattle, sheep, and horses passing by the door from time to time, making it very convenient for taking photos. The sunrise and sunset are also beautiful. There is also a wooden cabin cafe where you can go in for tea and chat when it's cold at night. The location is very close to Volcano No. 8. You can buy tickets at a cheaper price by contacting the hostess directly. If you come here for the first time, don't search for Ulan Hada Volcano, just search for No. 8 and you won't have to take a detour. It's a long-awaited escape from the city and enjoy a very peaceful time on the grassland. Breakfast offers simple milk tea, boiled eggs, buns, etc. In the evening, you can order grilled lamb chops, etc. The owner will also light a fire for us if we buy our own ingredients, and we can even have a bonfire party in the evening... In short, it feels like the best B&B at the foot of the volcano. We had a wonderful time here. Thank you to the hostess for her warm hospitality.

It only takes ten minutes to go to the south gate or north gate of the volcanic scenic spot. The interior furnishings of the yurt have a typical and perfect ethnic style, along with the clean and tidy bathroom facilities, and the hardware facilities are first-class. The restaurant's dishes have ethnic characteristics, color and fragrance. Breakfast is especially recommended as well as roast leg of lamb, roast lamb chops, special eggplant, roast wheat and yurts. I like the hotel owner, Forrest Gump, the service is warm and thoughtful, the tour guide of the scenic spot is introduced in detail, and the yurt accommodation is upgraded for free. The service staff is well-trained, smiles, and answers all questions. The guests arrive and leave the store and take the initiative to push large luggage for the guests. The service is first-class. In a word, living in this homestay makes us feel at home. Thanks to Forrest Gump and other service staff for everything we have done for us. The child said that he stayed at this homestay when he and his classmates came to fly drones in August.

JJames EdwardBooked in here by mistake 😂 (i took a train to Shangdu, which is not the same place as Xanadu!! (Its about 4 hours away)… the hotel is gorgeous though; huge, modern rooms and a great breakfast too. Watched a midnight storm through the huge floor to ceiling windows. One of those high end gems you find in China because they have the money to build places such as this. I probably wont come back to Shangdu again (although it does break up the train journey from Hohhot to the real Xanadu) but if i do, its an obvious, top grade option. Lovely staff too, who helped me with my train bookings.

GGuest UserThe room was fairly comfortable and the service was really great. But we kept finding little beetles in our room which made me so itchy at night when sleeping. Also I don’t think they cleaned the floor because we found fake eyelashes and old contact lens on the bathroom floor which was very nasty. They have a washing machine available which was very convenient especially after spending a day in the volcanoes where it’s dusty and all our clothes were dirty. Breakfast was alright…typical inner Mongolian breakfast, nothing special. There’s actually no volcano view but it didn’t really matter much. We were on the second floor and it was nice to be up there. I wish they had better soundproofing windows because every night there’s fireworks and they were so loud and went on until midnight. With a young child, it was impossible to sleep early. Overall, the service was really great!

My problem was the extremely high temperature in my room. I couldn't adjust it at all, I was sweating all night. I don't know why some hotels in Inner Mongolia (I never experienced this in Yunnan, Sichuan and Shaanxi) turn on the heater so much.
The other disturbing thing was the lights that automatically turn on as soon as I set a foot on the floor. I see no need of such things, they just keep me awake. If I need some light, I can turn it on myself.
The town seemed to be pretty dead, only one shop was open at 7 pm. It wasn't so far away, so it's all right.
Anyway, it's a hotel that accepts foreigners without problems, so I'm glad I stayed here.

Hygiene: I am a person who cares very much about housing conditions, especially bathrooms and shower rooms. I didn’t want to take a shower in a public shower room, so I went to visit it first. After the visit, I was surprised that it was very clean, so I took a quick shower before going to bed. Take a hot bath to relieve the fatigue of the day.

The boss and all employees are very approachable, speak politely, and communicate like friends. Especially the little beauty Rong Rong, who is beautiful, kind-hearted, super cute and polite.

GGuest UserAfter visiting the Ulan Hada volcanic group, we checked into the Golden Horde Resort near Huanghuagou. The boss was very nice. Not only was he enthusiastic, but he also upgraded our room for free. We finally lived in the yurt I had always wanted. The interior was so beautiful that I couldn't get enough of it while lying on the bed [grin] The restaurant in the resort has a two-story large yurt and a small yurt room. We didn't have lunch, so we had dinner early. We sat on the second floor of the restaurant, basking in the warm sun, enjoying the scenery, and eating delicious meals. It was very comfortable [strong]. There was a bonfire party and fireworks in the resort at night. It was super lively, but I was too tired during the day, so I fell asleep without resisting. I thought the room would be very cold at night, but the electric blanket was warm and comfortable, and I slept until the next morning. I have to say that it is really close to the Huanghuagou Scenic Area. It takes less than 5 minutes to drive there. Overall, it was a very good yurt experience [strong]

After driving from the volcano and entering the Huitengxile grassland, my heart was excited. What I like most is the floor-to-ceiling windows in the house, from which I can directly see the endless grassland. The meal cost 100 yuan per person, which is slightly more expensive than in the city, but acceptable, and the food is quite delicious. There aren't any of the little prairie bugs in the house as mentioned in the comments, probably because the weather is cooler.
