Booked two nights at Cha Inn, day 2 was room 206, the tatami, old furniture and small decorations were very nice, the air conditioner heated the room very quickly. Although it was a shared bathroom and the room was full that night, it was still very convenient. The only downside was that the window was facing a small street and there was occasional car noise, but it happened to be a little tired after walking for a few days, and I soon snored.

We stayed at Uji Daiichi Hotel for three nights. At night, the city of Uji was really quiet and I slept well. It was a very good hotel. Breakfast was also delicious.

We arrived before check-in time, but the staff were very kind. The free beer was very much appreciated. The overall impression was good, but the pillow came off from the pillowcase when I went to sleep.... I was surprised. The pillowcase was clean, but the pillow itself....It was mottled and brown, as if it had been soaked in coffee or something.... I was very shocked. It was the first time I had seen such a dirty pillow. Although the pillow was dirty, I was satisfied with everything else.

Very traditional Japanese style tatami. The location is very good, right in the scenic area. You can see beautiful cherry blossoms next to the river. The owner also runs a restaurant, which is very unique. There is a garden market on weekends, which is very lively, but a bit noisy. The room has no curtains and is not suitable for late risers. It is also a long way from the subway station and it is a bit difficult to walk with large luggage.

We spent 4 nights in this accommodation ”at home”. Location and price was very good. However, the owner left us skeptical. She would come into the room when we weren't there and we will pay about 1000 yen extra if we stay in the room from 11 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. (200 yen per hour). So we decided to go out every day during the slot in the afternoon. One day we changed our mind and wanted to stay but she told us that the door would be close all afternoon (she had something urgent to do)
