This traditional haveli is located in a perfect location for visiting many of the key sights as well as being right in the middle of the shopping & restaurant districts. The haveli is right on the lakeside & it is definitely worth paying a little extra for a lake view room. The hotel is beautifully decorated giving a real sense of Rajasthani opulence. The restaurant and rooftop bar/restaurant offer the most spectacular views across the lake, especially at sunset. We found all the staff to be friendly and attentive. Special mention to Dinesh who was a superb maître d’. I have read some negative comments regarding the breakfast in the hotel which, whilst not as extensive as a very large, international chain hotel, was certainly varied enough - cereals, fruit, pastries, pancakes, eggs etc as well as local dishes. If you are after a generic, international hotel where you could be anywhere in the world then this is not for you. This is 100% India and for that reason we absolutely loved it & would highly recommend it.

Fair to say this is, on first glance, a beautiful looking hotel in a great location. Lots of plants and bowls of flowers everywhere create a pleasant atmosphere. Although the fake plastic grass on the ground floor is an eyesore, as are the grubby mats everywhere. The hotel is a draw to the endless Instagramers who permeate the whole building. However, scratch beneath the pretty facade and there are issues with cleanliness and attention to detail, especially, but not exclusively, in the restaurant. The welcome and service from the manager are perfunctory, the menus are grubby and breakfast is a non-event with spills and stains left unnoticed.

Très bel hôtel avec une vue sur le lac et une belle terrasse. Les chambres sont confortables et bien équipées. Seules celles avec vue sur le lac ont une fenêtre. Les autres ont une petite ouverture sur le couloir. Ce n’était pas gênant. Le pdj est très bien mais nous avons eu froid en janvier car tout est ouvert. Le soir idem. Le personnel est très aimable. Ce fut un vrai plaisir d’y séjourner. Il est proche du City Palace et des rues commerçantes.

Luxury and old India charm with some of the most stunning views in Udaipur. White washed walls, windows alcoves, cosy reading and relaxing corners and great lookout on the lake. Big room, many amenities and a fantastic location just minutes away from the city palace

Nightmare stay. Hotel has sold out to Instagrammers and couples taking pre wedding photos. A hotel should be a retreat from the outside, this hotel is the opposite. Feel very sorry for the staff who are trying their best to manage the situation. Food dreadful, service agonisingly slow and table linen/menus grubby. Very disappointing as not an inexpensive stay. Could do much better.

Average hotel. stayed for 4 days. rooms are small and neat and clean. staff at restaurant was very friendly and helpful but it does not apply for reception In breakfast they have good spread as per the hotel type but it remained same for all the days. food was average you can have it for 1 or 2 days

Excellent location with soothing interior...we only had a lunch there which tastes great. Servicing is little slow but gentle well you dont complain about it. They have 2 types of seating arrangement indoor and rooftop. If you are visiting the olace at evening rooftop is highly recommanded. Overall all the hype about this is for the view of lake and at some level its worth to visit .

So we just went there for lunch, but the place was pretty awesome and also when I went to the rooftop I saw a really nice view of the area, I liked the lunch over there and it was amazing. The view from the restaurant was really awesome too and I had a great experience at that place.
