Idle A While Motel

First, I never write a negative review. This is truly an exception because we travel 100 nights a year. There was no one at the front desk. Just a wall phone that is very sketchy and if you are lucky you get a response within a minute or two. The check in time is 3pm. They refuse to check in an hour early even if it is clear that nearly all rooms were ready. Complete lack of interest in being hospitable. When it was time to check-in, we had to wait until the owner came from somewhere offsite to check us in. Not much interest in the guests - we were a bother to him. There is a huge junk pile of broken toilet to see when you look out the bathroom window. Walls are paper thin. No ice machine. No way to get supplies on the second day. Advertising is deceptive - rooms starting a price less then $100 don't exist. We moved elsewhere after the second night. Our family has been using the facility since the 80's for family gatherings in Twisp. No more. Oh, the pre-check in agreement form is the most threatening document I have ever received from some who wants my business.

Great little motel for a fantastic price. Furnishings were older but clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable with crisp sheets. All the amenities you’d find in a more expensive place (coffee maker, tv channels, fridge etc). The only issue I had was no hot water one evening and my heater made tick sounds. But for the price, small issues. Very convenient location. I’ll be back!

Good value We came for a hockey tournament in Winthrop. The motel was adequate for my teen daughter and myself. Walls were very thin and it is definitely a little dated. The managers were kind and accommodating. We would come again!

We had a tough start.Two rooms that we were given were too hot, but they were quick to respond and get us in a nice little cabin.We had a great night

We checked in late but email was sent out for check in information in advance and host was available for question right away when I called after business hours
