The corridors and room interiors look and smell old, but they are heated! It feels like there are many elderly residents. There are many deer in the park next to it. It is a 10-minute drive from the station.

The female receptionist at the hotel that night I checked in was very unfriendly.
The shower room looks dirty

The bedrooms lacked air conditioning, and the restaurant staff were inflexible, including waiting staff who were not permitted to take orders. We encountered a particularly grumpy waiter who refused to accommodate even minor changes to menu items based on preferences. The view was the only redeeming feature, but unfortunately, most windows face other directions, making it hard to enjoy. Parking was a challenge, as the spaces were crowded and difficult to navigate. I won’t be returning

We enjoyed a lovely evening in the cellars to celebrate my Dad’s 87th birthday. The staff were great and very attentive. The food was excellent. My parents were staying the night and enjoyed a comfortable night and excellent breakfast. It was when my mother suddenly became unwell the staff should their calibre. They were excellent, in particular Helena! We were unable to leave as intended and they found a room and were very understanding and accommodating in exceptionally difficult circumstances. Thank you to all the staff for their support!

We had a superior room overlooking the park and Thames, wonderful view. Our room was spacious and well equipped. King bed, small balcony, closet, coffee pod machine, bathroom (shower over bath not great). The room was clean and well serviced every day. We had room service breakfast one day and it was enough for two! The hotel is ten minutes walk from Richmond, but just an uphill stroll to Richmond Hill, pubs and iconic sunset views. It’s an expensive hotel but we returned weeks later for a second visit to the same room. That means we think it’s worth every pound.

Hotel is beautiful and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the bigger rooms with a balcony. The view of the river from the balcony was amazing
The only 2 downsides were that the bedside lights couldn’t be turned on separately to the ceiling lights and so my wife inadvertently woke me up in the night when she turned her bedside light on. It was also impossible to open the toilet window and there wasn’t an extractor fan so the room couldn’t be aired

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Great location overlooking the river and a short picturesque stroll along the river bank to Richmond town centre. A photo gallery of some very famous people, lovely restaurant with a view and yummy food. Fabulous room. The hotel has top quality, professional, friendly staff. They were all excellent. My favourite was the maitre d’ Artan
