Sunnyvale Garden Suites Hotel 29 Palms at Joshua Tree National Park

We stayed here the end of March, beginning of April on Room 11. It was a nice relaxing stay. They called it a junior suite (kitchen, queen bed & dresser, couch & coffee table, dining table & chairs, TV, bathroom w/shower no tub) We enjoyed our four days here close to the Park entrance. The room was nice, large and clean. Staff were all friendly. Our room had a covered porch. We enjoyed the shade, but the dogs enjoyed lying out in the sun. Two outdoor chairs were provided and a grill. They provide onsite parking, both covered and non-covered parking (first come). Would definitely stay here again.

This was one of worst chain hotels I have stayed at in 22 yrs of business travel. I could not get them to correct my rate so I overpaid for 6 weeks of stays and decided not to stay there again. It is also the hotel of disrepair....one broken elevator that was broke for 6 weeks meaning they had no intention of fixing since there were 2 elevators. Waiting for the one elevator was an inconvenience. I think it was the point because the rear door was broken and anyone could come in the back way. Again, no intention to fix. My last room had broken shower door so water leaked over bathroom floor and bottom of shower was rusted out. The staff were okay, but one time I could not get a bottle of water as an elite customer and older guy with pony tail had not intention of thanking me for my stay when I turned in my keys. I gave him my keys and he said nothing. What a business? Rooms were clean, tv offered adequate choices. Like I said I will have pass on the place next time in the area.

American breakfast is OK, free parking, there is a small business district opposite, the overall feeling is very good, there is a swimming pool, free coffee and buffet ice, and a small gym!

Close to the Joshua tree National Park, the hotel has convenient laundry facilities, bringing clothes for a few days to wash together, but unfortunately it is too late to have a swimming pool.

This was the first stay of our family of four in a Motel 6. The staff was very friendly, and we were quickly given a room. When we entered the room, we immediately noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke, so we went back and asked the receptionist to give us a different room, and she was very good about it. Unfortunately, the second room also smelled of smoke, but this time of ****! We decided that we can cope with that. The room itself was kind of dirty in the corners and edges. Floor was somewhat sticky, but in the end, everything fulfilled its purpose. Air conditioning was very loud. We would not stay there again.

Mahalo to the staff for saving a very special trip for us. Our reservation at another hotel was cancelled due to commifornia's travel advisories. We are so grateful that your establishment was not afraid to stay in business. Our room was neat and clean. Scarlet and Ashley were super helpful and nice. We travel to 29 as often as we can and we will be staying here again. Only con was that when we needed to check out, no one was in the lobby and by the time someone came there were 4 of us in line outside in the cold. That wont deter us bc we are sure it is bc they were busy keeping things sorted! Aloha!!
