Location: Frequently praised for proximity to attractions and being "near everything," though some noted it was "a bit far" from specific venues.

We arrived late in the evening. Walked in to a lobby that is furnished with outdated furniture. I couldn’t see anyone behind the counter so I walked up to see if there was a bell to ring. There was a young lady sitting in an area where she couldn’t be seen. She never got up from her chair nor acknowledged me other than to look at me. I gave her my name. She pulled my reservation and said fill out the hi-lighted area. I filled it out she gave me my key and put her head back down. We got the luggage cart which had something spilled on it. It was filthy and hard to maneuver. It took two of us to get it in our room. The room had a foul odor. I can’t explain it but it wasn’t good. The window in the room looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The bed was comfortable. I had to turn the rattling air conditioner down to 64 to get the room cool enough to sleep. The room wasn’t dirty but it felt like it was. The baseboards are chipped and need painting. The doors all need cleaning and paint. The entrance was not appealing. The mat was nasty. The breakfast was good. The lady taking care of the breakfast area who was also the morning desk clerk was very friendly. All in all major updates and cleaning needs to be done.

I had just relocated to Tuscaloosa and was just out of my element. Huey helped me so very much. Everyone is helpful and very nice. Rates are affordable.
