It's OK, but the hotels near the Grand Canyon are not cheap. I travel with my children and wife and don't want to camp. It's mainly for safety, so staying in Holiday Inn is still a very good choice. In fact, you don't have to stay in the park. There are hotels all around Holiday Inn, which is very convenient.
