The hosts at Fare Vavae were so helpful even though their English was limited. They helped us with a tour and transfers to our next location, we were struggling with that and very thankful for the help. We ate two dinners and a breakfast there and all the food was very good.

De loin le meilleur hébergement que nous avons fait pendant notre séjour. Nous avons passé un moment inoubliable ici. Tout était parfait, de l’accueil chaleureux de ce super duo : Hilda et Olivier, à la qualité des bungalows. La propreté des lieux était irréprochable, et chaque détail semblait avoir été pensé pour notre confort, et le tout avec goût et raffinement. La localisation est idéale, à la fois calme et proche de la plage. Mention spéciale pour le petit-déjeuner exceptionnel 🤩 et ne parlons pas du dîner fait maison délicieusement bon 😋 sans oublier la vue sur la piscine àui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Hilda et Olivier sont d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité incroyable, toujours prêt à répondre à nos besoins et à nous conseiller, ils veillent sur nous pour que le séjour soit parfait avec toujours une attention bienveillante 🥰 Nous recommandons cet endroit les yeux fermés et espérons avoir la chance d’y revenir très très bientôt. Merci à vous deux pour cette expérience mémorable et surtout ne changez rien 🙏🏻☀️

C'est... De très loin le meilleur hébergement que nous avons pu avoir moi et ma compagne sur notre séjour en Polynésie ! Absolument tout y est, de l'accueil, au cadre, en passant par les repas, les petites attentions, la bonne humeur... On se sent juste comme chez soi et même mieux ! Un immense merci pour ces quelques jours dans votre petit coin de paradis, je n'ai pas de mots plus forts ! Merci Hilda ! Merci Olivier ! On reviendra, c'est certain ! ❤️❤️❤️

Fabulous stay and service.
We arrived late in the dark due to several plane delays. We were able to communicate these changes with managers. They were fast to communicate going up and beyond to help navigate our arrival. In addition, they spoke with our car rental group to let them know our situation. We did not have a chance to eat after being in airports over 7 hours. The managers provided us with snacks, fresh bread slices and fish salad and freshly cut mango! It was delicious and so appreciated. It had been a long day.

Relaxing stopover in Raiatea
We spent two nights at Hilda and Olivier’s lovely B&B+ as a transition between Maupiti and Taha’a.
The bungalow is built and decorated with focus on quality, beauty, and locale. At every turn I saw patience, craftsmanship, and concern for the environment. The bungalows are made to last!
The interior is modern in design and amenities. The bedding is of high quality and very comfortable. Ceiling fan plus A/C plus mosquito screens in all windows plus shutters make adjusting to temperature changes easy. I especially noted the lovely cool-ish breeze off the mountains coming through during the night.
Are there mosquitos and ants? Of course there are, it’s the tropics. And we weren’t bothered at all.
Hilda is a star-quality chef, and the three-course dinners that Olivier delivers to the bungalow are a celebration for the eye and palate. The breakfast, also delivered to the bungalow, is plentiful and includes homemade jams and homegrown fruit. Good coffee, too.
I did swim in the salt water pool, and it is long enough for five strokes. While not enough for a workout, it’s lovely for cooling off.
Hilda and Olivier go out of their way to be helpful, professional, and friendly. Responses to my emails were prompt.
We would stay at Vare Vavae again and recommend it.

FANTASTIQUE. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Fare Vavae chez Hilda et Olivier. Ce sont des gens incroyables qui vous accueilleront avec un grand cœur. L’endroit est magnifique, le bungalow est spacieux et luxueux; tout est super beau et au calme absolu. A l’extérieur, c’est pareil, avec un grand jardin et une grande piscine pour se désaltérer après une bonne journée de découverte. Le petit déjeuner et dîner sont faits maison par les talents d’Hilda, c’est raffiné, c’est varié, c’est tout simplement excellent. Olivier et elle sont toujours prêts à rendre service. Ils proposent des vélos et une voiture de location pour se déplacer sur l’île. D’ailleurs, la plage n’est qu’à quelques minutes à pieds. Les prestataires avec qui ils travaillent pour les excursions sont compétents et passionnants. Je recommande à 100%, c’est de loin notre meilleur séjour en Polynésie française.

Très beau Fare neuf, très bien équipé, très belle décoration. Superbe accueil chaleureux de Hilda et Olivier qui se sont mis en quatre pour proposer, réserver et finaliser nos excursions suivant nos centre d'intérêts. Nous avons apprécié aussi qu'ils aient pris le temps de partager leur expérience de la vie locale et leurs conseils. Félicitations pour les petits déjeuners et les repas maison, servis dans des paniers en osier, qui ont été les meilleurs de notre séjour en Polynésie.
