WONDERFUL - FAV STAY IN TULUM I never leave reviews but felt compelled following my wonderful stay at Yellow Nest. The entire properly is very charming and peaceful. The staff is beyond amazing. I had a basic nest, which I already thought was lovely and ended moving to a villa with a plunge pool making my stay all the more special. I never expect much from hotel restaurant, especially the free breakfast, however the food on property was all around the best food I had during my trip to Tulum. Everything was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond my entire stay and were very sweet. I didn’t finish my guacamole at lunch and they saved it in the fridge and brought it back out for my dinner later. I did 2 Temazcal sessions, both were a unique and relaxing experience. Being so close to the cenotes was definitely the highlight of staying here. I booked a scuba diving trip through the hotel with Alberto, HIGHLY recommend. The experience was the best of my trip and Alberto was wonderful, knowledgeable, and I felt safe the entire time. I also biked less than 5 mins to another cenote which was fantastic. The WiFi here was the best during my trip. The road to the properly is VERY bumpy but even smaller cars would be fine. However, I wouldn’t recommend driving to the property for the first time at night. I would also bring more cash than you think you need. Between cenotes only take cash and tipping the staff I ran out quickly. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best experiences ever. If you want to disconnect this is the place for you. The staff is amazing! I would give you names but it doesn't matter, they are all one . Communicating through Whats App was cool sin s they were available 24 hours . Floating breakfast is a must, the Temazcal Ritual was awesome , and finally the way to get there is bumpy , but that's what makes it fun.

We stayed at The Yellow Nest for one night to celebrate my 40th Birthday. I wish we could have stayed longer. Even before we arrived the concierge contacted me with all necessary information and details on how to find them. We were greeted by Ramses, a newer concierge to the team; he was energetic and great to talk with, given welcome drinks and he also gave us a tour of the grounds after we had a quick shower to cool off! AMAZING! We stayed in a villa with a/c and a private pool. The villa was beautifully decorated, comfortable and much larger than I expected. Miguel, the other concierge, I cannot stay enough about! He had so much information about the surrounding area and the history. These two along with the rest of the staff (sorry I cannot remember names) really made you feel welcome and part of the family. We did luck out as it was low season, so they weren't overly busy! We had dinner on site and the food was delicious and nice sized portions! In the morning we had their floating breakfast (highly recommended) in a gorgeous setting. I should add that you can book the floating breakfast without staying there, and you won't be disappointed! Post breakfast Miguel took us on a cenote tour that was indescribable. Had we gone alone we wouldn't have found half the areas he brought us to in the underground paradise. We returned to Yellow Nest after visiting the cenote to take part of a traditional temazcal ceremony, led by Miguel, which left us feeling at peace and even more intrigued about the Mayan traditions. When it came time to leave, we were sad, but grateful for the connections we made, amd we can't wait to return to spend a few nights, as one wasn't enough! Thanks Yellow Nest for making my 40th Birthday one of the best yet!

From the moment we arrived at Yellow Nest, the experience was top-tier. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk by a gentleman who walked us through everything included in our day, helped us select our drinks and breakfast options, and gave us a full tour of the beautiful facilities. He set us up in the perfect poolside spot — complete with music and shade — and since we were the only ones there that morning, we got to enjoy a peaceful and private start to the day. Soon after, our floating breakfast was brought out, and the team captured the most incredible video of all of us. The photographer was amazing and made sure our bride was the center of attention in the best way. Each of us received a complimentary shoulder massage, which was a pleasant surprise — I hadn’t expected it to be included, so you may want to double check in advance. Even though it was short (about five minutes), it was heavenly. Following breakfast and massages, we participated in the guided meditation session. I was a little unsure at first — it’s very warm and steamy inside — but it ended up being the absolute highlight of our day. It lasted about 30 minutes, and we all walked out feeling completely refreshed and renewed. Afterwards, we grabbed smoothies and continued relaxing by the pool. The team at Yellow Nest took such incredible care of us the entire time. They were so attentive and genuinely made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. This was such a special experience, and I already can’t wait to go back for a full stay. Huge thanks to the entire Yellow Nest team for making our visit so memorable and meaningful.

I would definitely come back to Yellow Nest. This place was very welcoming, beautiful and quiet. I wish I had booked more stays not just one night since there are a lot of activities included in the stay. Dante, George and the rest of the staff were amazing.

This is a very unique property in the jungle that just didn't work for us. We rented a villa with a plunge pool. Despite a beautiful setting, cool design and friendly staff there were some deal breakers that made us decide to forfeit our money and get another hotel the same evening of the day we arrived. The lack of AC during the day during intense heat and humidity was a big deal for us as was the noisy diesel generator next to our room that is on all night. The property is not easy to access. We may have felt less isolated if we had an SUV instead of a regular sedan but it didn't feel like we could safely (flat tire wise) navigate the roads after dark and we really like the idea of having options for dinner, which wouldn't have worked with that location. Another review mentioned the strong sulpher smell of the water. The smell stayed on my skin causing me to smell bad. Not romantic for a couples retreat. However, those things that were deal breakers for us might not be a big deal to someone else. Like we said, it is an interesting hotel in the jungle but we were looking for some comfort and luxury and the pictures did not stack up to the actual experience which had a more "roughing it" vibe despite the price tag.
