The best jungle hotel I've ever stayed in, bar none. Free bicycles, kayaks, and cave exploration activities. But there is only one restaurant nearby and it's a bit expensive.

The property was very nice and very well maintained. The service at the front desk and restaurants were outstanding. We found that the food at the resort was very good to excellent. The definite must try is the various Mexican breakfast that they offer. Swimming in cenote was very refreshing given how hot it was. The activities person David was excellent at his job. He took us on several private tours of the resort. The downside to the resort is that it is very buggy and there are tons of mosquitoes. It makes it very difficult to enjoy being outside. Also, we found that the Palapa type roofs hosted a lot of critters and there were droppings on our bed and floor. Our kids also found scorpions and lizards in their bathroom. The resort is about 15 minutes to Tulum ruins xelha park. It is about a 30 minute drive to. Xplor xenses and xcaret. If staying for more than a few days, a rental car is needed given how remote the location is. In terms of suggestions, there should be floor mats placed at the outside of the rooms since a lot of the areas leading to the rooms are not paved. They also have housekeeping and turn down service and they should bring ice along with the filtered water that they provide. The hotel is very accommodating online. We requested an additional bed and a desk and it was in the room when we checked in. They were also very accommodating when we had a late flight and asked for a late check out. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. They modified a lot of the meals to meet my kids picky eating.

This is my second time at Wakax and it remains one of my favorite places of all times! The perfect place to relax, swim, and simply enjoy the nature. We never left the hotel, they have amazing food, cenote, jungle tours with Mayan houses. Everything that we wanted to do in tulum is in one spot. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Wakax is a haven away from the touristy part of Tulum, it’s immersed in nature with the most wonderful lake to swim, kayake and paddle board on. There are bikes to explore the 42 acres . If you want peace and to be surrounded in nature and something that is rustic authentic Mexican whilst still being luxurious , this is the place . My only constructive feedback is that I if your staying for more than 5 days it would be good if menu changed or they did daily specials. Make sure you visit Sian Khan Bioreserve , breathtaking !! Staff at the hotel are super friendly and attentive , particularly Cauhtic xxx

Everything was absolutely perfect : the beauty of the place, the cleanliness of the rooms, the activities offered, and especially the staff. A big thank you to the housekeeping, the receptionists, the restaurant staff, and Vicente, an incredible waiter whose smile we will never forget.

I found wakax by chance and it was really the best it could happen to us. We had a bad experience in one hotel in tulum and decided to move here. The place is amazing. The way they treat people in accomodate them, thw service they provide ia really incredible. Rooms are fantastic, food is delicious. Amazing for kids as they can do activities in the lake, in the cenote and the Rio with amazing David. I did 1,30 mins massage and also that was incredible. I travelled a lot in my life but this is the place i would reccomend.. Always! Thanks for having us ❤️❤️❤️

Wakax is the kind of place that’s so tranquil you lose track of time. We were a family of 4. Two adults and two teens. We all appreciated the blend of luxury and relaxation with fun activities. The customer service is excellent. We were created personally with chilled towels and glasses of ice water. Bags were loaded on a golf cart and check in was a breeze. Our room was beautiful, spacious and squeaky clean. Bug repellent for mosquitoes was provided and replenished. The minibar was stocked with sodas, filtered water. Nespresso coffee was provided all throughout the hacienda grounds. The grounds are gorgeous. Each building is welcoming and open to the air. The Yucatán Peninsula in the summer is a hot place, but these buildings are designed in a way that a breeze blows through. Our favorite spot to lounge while having an espresso was in the building above the pool with the arches. We spent a lot of time there in the shade with the breeze blowing, listening to the birds and chatting with our teens. it’s the kind of place you think about coming back to before you have even left. I wish I could remember all of the names of the incredible staff. Of course we remember David’s name, he was incredibly helpful. So much is included for the price of the stay. I certainly think it is a great value. The property is immersed in nature and nothing about it feels commercial. Although the overgrowth of seaweed along the Yucatán Peninsula has made some of the beaches unpleasant I would still encourage everyone to visit. We left the Hacienda to swim with sea turtles and tour the Tulum ruins. The seaweed did not bother us a bit. I may have felt differently if we had stayed at a beachfront resort. I’m so glad we didn’t. I’m so grateful to have experienced Wakax Hacienda.
