Absolutely beautiful hotel with a world class staff! It felt like a dream. Everything was taken care of from the travel to and from to everything I did during my stay. I didn't have to think or plan, it was all taken care of with a smile. The pictures online do NOT do it justice. As soon as you step in from the street you are surrounded by a lush jungle like experience. Feels like you have the place all to yourself. Birds singing and waves crashing. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. The food was great. The staff!!! There is nothing I can say negative about this hotel. I travel a LOT and this is one of the best places i've ever stayed.

The rooms are stunning and better than expected, which usually is the other way around. Highly recommend getting a ground floor room with pool.

Be Tulum is the perfect hotel to enjoy the vibe of Tulum. From the jungle pathway to our room, which was so aesthetic, to the deliciously fresh morning breakfast and wellness activities, it's the perfect blend of relaxation and vibes. The service is outstanding all the way around. The taxis being available outside the door at any time was a great convenience. We also rented a 4x4 and were able to park it there with no issues.

Hotel itself is beautiful per the other reviews - but there is an extreme seaweed issue rendering the beach absolutely unswimmable, toxic and dangerous. There is a horrible sickening smell permeating everything. All the activities in Tulum center around hanging out around beach clubs - but given the awful smell and horrible beach vistas - you wouldn’t want to do that so there’s nothing to do. We were booked for 3 days and left after just 1 day, spending thousands of dollars to relocate and book a different hotel. Be Tulum didn’t even agree to a partial refund which is very disappointing. The seaweed issue should have been advertised on the hotel website.

My husband and I went to Tulum to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Telum has a reputation of scamming tourists and the cops may pull you over and request money. So we were aware of the danger on the outside. We needed a safe and special place to celebrate. So, We chose "Be Telum". This hotel had great ratings and was recommended by friends. It seemed to be the perfect place. The breakfast was complimentary and delicious. The hotel had free parking with 24 hour security. The rooms were cleaned daily and the property was well maintained. We brought money to tip the staff in the hotel and go on adventures. Everything seemed perfect. The staff was super accommodating and nice. The hotel even delivered a bottle of champagne with a cake and balloons so we can celebrate. Everyday we woke up with a smile and enjoyed the cenotes in Telum. However, our last day in Telum revealed the biggest scam. We were robbed. Someone took half of our cash in the safe; over $700. We thought we were in a safe place. We were so happy to get to the last day and nobody scammed us. But we were fooled. The scam happen in our own hotel. We spoke with the front desk and they said they would conduct an investigation. We are still waiting to see what they will tell us.

I loved my experience—literally no complaints. Raquel at the front desk was super accommodating and really nice. Roger at the restaurant had exceptional service and remembered my name on day two which made the experience very personable and welcoming. I would plan to return once a quarter, but the downside is the overall cost in Tulum. Everything (taxis, temazcal ceremonies, restaurants) is exorbitantly high, and having to negotiate everything down is exhausting and not conducive to a relaxing time. It's unfortunate because the location and hotel are perfect; it's the outside factors that are the issue. Essentially, everything outside of the actual hotel rooms feels like a price gouge. It's in the middle of a tourist trap, and that's a significant deterrent, which ultimately lowers the amount of potential money the city and hotel could make.

I like how peaceful the hotel is. They have maybe 50 rooms which are really villas. So you feel secluded, quiet and independent. It is nice to have a bath tub on the outside patio, but privacy is limited if you care about that. Only drawback we many mosquitoes.
