Playa Esperanza Tulum

Beautiful Beach, Great staff and Decent Rooms First of all, the beach at the property is amazing. That was the main reason we chose the hotel. Additionally the staff that provided breakfasts, coffee and drinks were wonderful. The office staff too. The hotel is VERY bare minimum. The rooms are very small with a comfortable bed covered in mosquito netting. We would have liked an additional chair (there was one) or a sofa so we could relax in our room. The bathroom was minimalist to say the least. We did enjoy hot water in the shower and plenty of water pressure. The lights strained and flickered during the day, but we were out mostly, so no big deal. It would have been nice to have daily or every other day towel changes and bedding changes. Due to the humidity, the towels never dried. The worst thing we experienced was infant mice dropping onto the mosquito net the first night!!!!! That and a variety of insects in the room, including cockroaches as well as a couple of scorpions. We stayed 8 nights which was too long. I'd say this is an excellent place to relax for 3 or 4 nights. Finally, the entrance fees to the park....and hotel are crazy expensive. It would be nice if the hotel worked out a deal with the park to discount them.

Excellent and quiet - rustic and authentic! The perfect place to a relaxing and true Mexican vibe! The views are gorgeous!
