Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka´an - Adults Only - All Inclusive

We just returned from a 7 night stay at Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an, June 2-9. This was our 6th time at LBP Sian Ka’an. We keep returning because of the amazing staff! We stayed at Sian Ka’an for a week in April 2024 and we noticed several changes when we returned in June. For example, the Sian Ka’an “Jungle Gym” has been expanded with more equipment, larger area and the vegetation removed from the area. The Guest Services Representatives are walking around more, making themselves known and available to the guests. The evening entertainment has changed slightly with new performers before and after the main show. Thank you for the improvements you have made and for those you have in the works. We walked to the Tulum resort for breakfast a few times. It was an easy 15 minute walk taking the road that first brings you to Sian Ka’an. Crossing the highway was easy as there was little traffic that time of day. Crossing the highway brings you to the Hacienda and is any easy walk from there to Tulum resort. We walked this before 7am while it was still shady and cool. Another morning we walked to Akumal for breakfast, this time taking the path that the trolleys take over the bridge. This took 30 minutes and was a lovely walk and like the walk to Tulum, was shady and cool. There was more selection at these 2 buffets but they were also busier. If you want to try something different it’s worth the trip over to Tulum and Akumal. The food and service at the Sian Ka’an buffet was always excellent. We never had an issue with the food being cold in fact often it was steaming hot! We tried the dinner buffet one night and it was excellent. Here is the schedule of nightly dinner themes, as of June 2024. Sunday – American, Monday – Italian, Tuesday – Japanese, Wednesday – Spanish, Thursday – Canadian, Friday – Seafood, Saturday – Mexican. A big shout out to Daniel and his staff. Juana, Antonio, Faustino and Susanna were top notch servers in the buffet. Expect to be welcomed with a warm smile and Buenos Dias from Diana, the greeter. A big shout out to the Lobby bar staff. Fabiola, Deisy and Jennifer were top notch! Thank you for all you do! Pablo, the activities pool bartender, remembered us from our previous trip and even remembered our favourite drink! That’s impressive! He took care of us really well that week. They have added popsicles to their pool side service in the afternoon. A nice touch to help keep cool in the Mexican June heat. The entertainment staff at Sian Ka’an are amazing. They work long days and are always friendly and engaging with the guests. Enrique, Alexander, Sergio, Abigail, Alejandro, Delmar and Diana will keep you entertained throughout the day with games, dance lessons, water aerobics and bike tours to name a few. You can still find them working in the evenings at the nightly shows out on the terrace mingling with the guests and doing whatever they can to ensure a fun vacation. You guys are awesome! Can you please provide us with the hurricane plan for current guests at the hotel? Thank you. I will update this after my stay with a proper review. Lovely resort. Great food. Happy with everything, but would like some hurricane information and would really like to know what the plan is for tomorrow.

Very nice overall. Could probably do with some refurbishment and sprucing up to feel more luxurious, but otherwise its a nice quiet location.

My room was dirty, i had dead bugs in my dinner from the buffet And the staff was not so friendly

We had stayed at sian ka'an In 2020 and had a lovely holiday so thought we would go back, but when reading the current reviews I was hesitant. However due to your previous experience I booked away, stayed from 31st of May to 15th of June and we had a fantastic time. I honestly do not understand the negative comments from previous reviews, yes the rooms could do with updating but they are not bad quality rooms. Front desk are always available and extremely helpful. The staff are amazing and genuinely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to provide a quality service, the food was really good and as you are staying at Sain Ka'an you have access to all the restaurants in the other 3 hotels onsite. We could not fault this hotel it was absolutely fabulous. We spent our 2 weeks literally going around all the pools, beach areas (again you have access to the 3 other hotels and they're facilities) there was always something to do. Beach areas were so relaxing sian Ka'an has a private adults only part of the beach but we went along all beach areas. Please don't let the bad reviews stop you from booking this hotel it really is an amazing place. I honestly am a very seasoned traveller so definitely know good from bad, we are happily going to book Sian Ka'an again next but do an extended stay 😁

Samantha and Aurora were amazing and always very helpful. The top shelf liquor was only in certain places and if they did not have it, they would not bother to get it. The rooms were average at best. I didn’t view this resort as luxury but average at best. Again, kudos to Samantha and Aurora for trying to make our experience satisfying.

Staying at Sian Ka’an was great! It was cool to access Cobá, Akumal and Tulum as well to go to the beachside. We mostly stayed at those but only slept at Sian Ka’an.

Good Resort

We had a great stay and are actually sad we had to leave so soon! Everyone from Nicole that checked us in to Pedro that took us to our room were absolutely amazing. Javier in the concierge helped us throughout the whole stay! There is nothing I would change; only a clarification form contents that says the Sian Khan property is not at the actual beach. I was looking for that experience but everything was great anyway.
