I've stayed at several hotels throughout Mexico, and La Valise Tulum stands out as the best experience by far. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel special, especially by greeting my girlfriend and me by name every morning. The beautifully maintained grounds only added to the experience. This hotel is split between a beach side and a jungle side, located across the street from one another, and both are equally stunning. We spent 5 days at the beach side for my girlfriend's birthday and it was pure paradise. The staff even went above and beyond by decorating our room with balloons! Every meal we tried at the complimentary breakfast was absolutely fresh and DELICIOUS, and all the lunches we had were top tier as well. When it came to service, the staff was incredible. They were always just a quick WhatsApp message away and available to us 24/7, which made everything feel at ease and comfortable. Although we didn't get to spend much time at the beach due to seaweed, we spent all of our time right across the street at their gorgeous jungle side pool where the wonderful service continued. Thank you to the entire team at La Valise for your warmth, attention to detail, and hospitality. You made our trip truly unforgettable, and we can't wait to return in the future!

The pool area is gorgeous and comfortable. Poolside drinks and snacks are delicious. The room was spacious and truly unique. We were in the jungle room upper and the 20 foot thatched roof with floor to ceiling windows is amazing. We did not use the rolling bed feature but fun to know we could have. The bathroom is very spacious and while private, the shower without a curtain may take some getting used to. The bedroom AC was more than sufficient and if you the leave the door open a little, it helps in the bathroom area. The grounds of the hotel are lush with ferns and palms. The beach side has an elevated view of the ocean. We didn't spend as much time on this side so to being more pool people than beach people. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Most call you by name by the end of the first day. Our time at La Valise can be summed up as super relaxing in a beautiful setting supported by a fantastic staff.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at La Valise. When we were checking out, they asked for any constructive feedback we might have and…we had none. We stayed for five nights and loved everything about our stay. There are so many highlights: - The staff is tremendous. The concierge team was constantly engaged with us, with Liz in particular checking in regularly to ensure our every needs were being met. Mo was our server almost every morning for breakfast and he quickly memorized our preferences, along with mixing us up a custom hot sauce (which was VERY good). Alberto was our server one night during dinner and we became old pals; we connected over our shared loved for learning languages. - The complimentary breakfast is incredible. Many days we didn’t even need to eat lunch because it was so much food, and the quality was as good as anything else we had in Tulum. We expected a half hearted spread but this was a wonderful surprise. - You don’t realize until you venture off the property how well they maintain the bug presence. Using smoked wax and other methods they keep mosquitos at bay around the pool and eating areas. - Our room had maybe the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. - We stayed on the jungle side but that unlimited access to the beach side, giving us a 2-in-1 feel. - The resort having so few rooms made it feel exclusive but not empty. No rush to grab a spot by the pool or on the beach, or a table for dinner. You always have a spot. We can’t recommend La Valise enough, and look forward to returning here our next time in Tulum.

A Magical Honeymoon at La Valise Tulum – Pure Perfection! We stayed at La Valise Tulum for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t have asked for a more magical and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, welcome, and completely cared for. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness truly exceeded all our expectations. Even though it was sargassum season, Tulum still had so much to offer — and La Valise made sure we experienced the very best of it. They organized a private tour for us (which turned out to be a highlight of our trip!) and helped us discover the beauty of the area beyond the beach. When we mentioned our concerns about the seaweed, they offered us a seamless room change to a stunning jungle-view suite — and it was absolutely perfect. Peaceful, lush, and full of charm — waking up surrounded by nature was something truly special. Everything about La Valise feels exclusive, intimate, and thoughtful — from the architecture and design to the incredibly personalized service. It felt like a dream, and we’re so grateful to have spent such a meaningful time there. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the entire team at La Valise for making our honeymoon unforgettable.
